I met him a few years ago. He is one of the kindest professional musicians I've met. He deserves everything he's achieved.
@xelefonte5 жыл бұрын
But if he was one of the meanest unprofessional musicians, would you still support his music? For me I don’t really care to meet artists since meeting them can’t make me like their music anymore than I already do unlike the impression POS gave you resulting in your biased likeness towards his music. It’s just fascinating to me how meeting an artist can make or break people’s liking of that artist. Very bad litmus test.

2019. It's been years and this song still shakes my spirit to the core. lyrics that no matter when, they're just simply spot-on relevant. On one hand, it shows just how much Nothing Gets Done, on the other, it's comforting to have the masterpieces that will forever lift the soul and heart higher than that mess

P.O.S. is not a rapper....he's a hip hop artist/emcee. Hip Hop will never die thanks to true musicianship and artistry. Rhymesayers in the building. Welcome to the revolution....Peace Naycha

It was years ago this was actually on MTV, on Elite 8. Morning music I loved every morning. Maybe 7th grade? Anyways, it took till 10th grade to find the artist and song by chance, last year. I bought the album and I know about 80% of the words in the whole album. There is nothing like P.O.S. and I can't help but say he is definitely my favorite artist. I just wish he'd make some music again because the amount of spirit and fucking power in his songs just makes me internally combust.

Find a base. Hold your space---LIKE A SPARTAN. YES. One of the most powerful lines especially the first time you realize P.O.S. is giving you words to die by...As I sat back and thought about this simile/bar, I considered the idea in more depth. As a Persian, I am the lineage of those responsible for the Spartan's deaths (Battle of Thermopylae 480 B.C.). Yet, here I sat, unquestionably honoring their deaths with deep admiration. The beautiful irony in this makes one think...

I saw P.O.S. / Doomtree back in 2009 up in Burlington, Vermont at Higher Ground. I was 19. It was one of the the realest shows I’ve ever been, too. I used to be in to hardcore/punk but then gravitated towards hip-hop so this is an absolute perfect marriage of the two. Raw aggression, intellectually sound/revolutionary lyrics, hard beats... nothing gimmicky or phony about this!! Never Better is a certified classic.

@superinfinite88 you got me wrong. i meant not all music has to have a deeper meaning, some just does paint a picture in one's head, without a particular meaning. as a musician of course i understand this. so does an artist like waka do it too? yes he does. ever been down south? thats what they listen to down there, where they dont have as much, and are often forgotten. waka's music puts me right there, with the poor, yet amazing people down there
