Hey Rhymestyle, you need a Norito in your extra deck, with those 2 Apprentice Illusion Magicians you had you could special summon both and go into Norito then Ebon Illusion Magician then special summon a DM and banish his monster then attack for 5000 LP, it's a card negate too so it's still useful defensively, give it a shot!

Dark Magician is fun and all, but it is weird to run. I recommend to add some weird negate cards or mirror force cards like Quaking to stall or assist yourself. Make it so they hurting if they try to have fun, but in petty ways

It's basically supposed to be a bag of tricks like how Atem ran it in OG Yugioh but a lot of its magic and spells didn't exist back then, and Konami made it feel real gimmicky, not always in a good way. Even still I love running it.

@@christhepropman1666 I mean, every deck is bad when you're going second against a negate/floodgate board tbh Once you can get DM going though, or if the opponent doesn't have good backrow removal, you can quickly overwhelm your opponent. And ironically, DM is a good matchup against Eldlich due to banishing. I'd say it's one of the better brick decks if anything. I personally run Super Poly with my DM. Most decks have at least one dragon in them or are pure dark monsters, so you can make protection for Eternal Soul or just go into good ol' Starving Venom.

If you’re trying to get your dragon knight, link your dark magician for imduk and then bring your dark magician back out and use secrets of dark magic. That way you’re not banking on drawing eye of timaeus. Also chain your soul servant to the upstart goblin.

Red eyes fusion is not an issue since it restricts you from special summoning that turn so it's a brick if you draw it. There's a reason dpe is run over it

Superheavy Samurai almost once got me a win against Eldlich… Then I got Solemn'd. It was more humiliating than the time I went into ranked with Trickstar, and I was trying to burn my opponent who had just dropped Max "C" and when I was in my final stretch of my combo, I got Nibiru'd. But losing because of Nibiru is arguably more relatable than losing because of some other obscure trap card.

Dark Magician is usuable if built right. It's definitely good, but not great. Maybe like tier 2-3. The only tier 0 meta deck I have a chance and that requires going first is tri-brigade and even then its not good odds. But it fucks on eldlich and a lot of other things that can't deal with the banishes. A lot of the Dark Magician cards are bait and actually just brick you more than help is the real issue, so making a good dark magician deck is hard AF. a lot of opponents don't read eternal soul, which helps

The problem with unbanning dragoon is it is so generic because of verte. Like almost every deck can run dragoon not just DM and Red Eyes decks. Konami should think of something to make Dragoon exclusive to DM or Red Eyes only for it to work.

Try "Magician of Chaos". Its basically ritual dark magician and it links rlly well with ur deck bc when u summon it its name becomes dark magician so u can use eternal soul. It also has a handy effect.

You need the ritual cards to consistently get out Magician of Chaos, then you need the Dark Magician cards to consistently get out Eternal Soul and Dark Magical Circle, not to mention Manju and Magician's Rod both use up your normal summon. But hey, if you have a good and consistent Magician of Chaos deck for Master Duel I'd love to see the deck list.
