The judges aren’t dumb and neither is Jay Taj. Jay was 💯when he said he already won at the finale, 250k is a drop in a bucket to any established artist of his caliber, him being discovered is worth way more than a quarter million . However that money is what DreTL needs to take off. Both are good rappers But Taj is years beyond Dre. I think the judges were just being nice.

I agree with everything u said. But at the end of the day it's a competition not a charity case. The best should win plain and simple. Jay Taj was 100 levels above everybody in the competition. The other 3 out of the top 4 wouldn't even have made top 6 or 7 in season 1.

I honestly feel like this was a PR move from the judges and Netflix. Dre played the victim roll and they fell for it. Everyone knows Jay Taj was the best from episode 1. Even Latto knows that. They all praised him every episode, didn’t slip up not 1 time. The winner should be the best of the best. It shouldn’t be who has the best potential. DreTL did not have 1 single challenge better than Jay Taj! But this is only my opinion

J Taj was consistent through the whole show and obviously seasoned over all the other contestants. That win had Lotto all over it, She should have never been a judge she's not seasoned enough. The decision was very immature., the other two judges new better that is why it was a screaming match as they said. First season judges would have never made that choice. Ali and Jay Taj should have been the final two, they were the most consistent on the show

DreTL was the best storyteller of the entire group, Jay Taj was DEFINITELY the best all round talent, but the thing is, they were making an industry wide decision. Dre needs the money, PR move right there. Jay doesn't need the training and everything ends that Dre needs, but as far as the group of the greats, DreTL DOES have the highest potential. He's very different.

My problem with the Judges is they are not really technical enough, i agree with Luda criticizing Sura Ali on her aggressive style in the collab, but to be more productive i would’v told her that she tones down her aggressive lyrics and focuses more on her poetic side as she can many so much range with it. Her last stage performance proved that her poetry can take her a long way.

I didn’t expect Luda to fold. Luda usually skilled and lyrical but he let the bias for atl win for DreTL. Season 1 hosts where 100% all the way through regardless if it was their favorite. I actually find it confusing that Cardi kept more real vs season 2 hosts. Season 2 hosts where fake and biased. How yall gonna say Jay Taj a star and never had a weakness or etc and then say dretl off beat mumbles and he wins anyway. Like df. Also Latto just shows favoritism vs choose talent. This season was a charity case. DreTL sounds dope when fully produced and mixed down, and he’s only gonna get better. But live in the show he sounded bad, rapped off beat, except for the collab that was dope! But Jay Taj killed that competition and no one else came close to delivering what he did! They chose to invest that $250k into future potential rather than award it to the clear winner of the competition. Maybe even had to do with the backstory of DreTL pulling at the judges & producers heart strings??
