Equally as important? Rhythm guitar is far more important. No Riffs = No Song. A Song can exist without solos and can be replaced with amazing variety of riffs and nobody would even notice

Can you imagine a rock song without the lead guitarist? Of course: with rhythm, bass, vocals & drums you've basically still got Nirvana. Can you imagine a rock song without the rhythm guitar? Can you imagine a rock song with no rhythm? No riff, no party.

Municipal Waste has no solos whatsoever and they sound amazing, Blood And Thunder has no solo but some harmonization, but overall it's mostly rhythm: sounds awesome
