Guitar Lessons and Battle of the Bands were both great additions to the game. I already liked the Rockers Duo, but these made me like them even more. it's funny and kind of sweet in a way reading J.J.'s banter in the lessons and how into the songs he gets

I get that. I really like Rockers though, personally. I feel like the guitar lessons are all pretty cool and challenging, and the songs from the game translate well into them

I see this as a continuation of the drum lessons from the GBA game, and it seems like in both cases they wanted to get an instrument that vaguely resembles the control scheme of the game, like how GBA's numerous buttons could control all the different drums on a drum pad, and here they went with guitar because swiping the ds screen with the stylus is not unlike strumming with a pick on a guitar. for wii I guess all they could think of for that control scheme was the hi hat toy, lol.
