This is objectively one of the best and subjectively my favorite custom remix on KZbin. It has everything someone could actually want in a custom remix. The mini games chosen are all utilized in a way that is thematically appropriate to the original song from FNF, while made to be contextually hilarious (Love Lizards turns into angry flirting and the Love Lab scientist begins to act more like the antagonist, with his original love interest looking concerned with that same hilarious facial expression) and sometimes heartwarming (Duel Drummer where there is only one cheerleader on the right side because BF/GF have a rock-solid relationship). The pixel art is stunning, and captures the aesthetic of RH excellently while sometimes improving upon it in quality, and featuring all these extra details that make the remix pop. The cutscene at the beginning is brilliantly handled, with a hilarious take on the love lab scientist and a clever subversion on the original text to make the video E for Everyone. The difficulty slowly increases over the remix in a way that echoes how an actual RH remix would, taking its unique mini games and building upon them appropriately and enjoyably, while also matching the difficulty increases within the chart of the original song; the final Love Lab segment and the ending Drummer Duel segment are both really fun to imagine playing, and I wish I could play this remix on my DS right now. Even the ending is straight up genius, calling to mind one of SilvaGunner's parodies while also making it unique by having the drummer drop his sticks (and again E for Everyone by not including the blue orbs). In a more subjective sense, this remix stands above all others because it takes some of the most memorable and mechanically unique mini games (Love Lab, Love Lizards) and some other nice additions (Ninja Dog, Drummer Duel, Munchy Monk) from my favorite game in the series (Rhythm Heaven), mixes it with my absolute favorite song from FNF, and does all of these things justice. In addition, the inclusion of so many later-set games (three from Set 4, one from Set 3, and one from Set 5) makes this feel like a reference to Remix 4 specifically in a way, which is fitting given the romance theme. Often RH doesn't get as much appreciation as RHF or sometimes even RT, and to see it used so brilliantly here warms my heart. In addition, the SFX added to the remix are just straight up catchy and breathe new life into the original song; usually I don't listen to custom remixes too much after the originals, but I've got this one on repeat. Tl;dr, this is a masterclass in custom remix design and perhaps even the pinnacle of what I've seen. I bet you weren't expecting some random guy to make an essay on this video, but it's just my way of communicating that I'm very impressed. This is excellently designed and brimming with clever details that illustrate a passion for the source material, and I listen to this on repeat and wish I could play it to be honest. Thanks for making this!
