レ is the katakana "re." It has no meaning, it's just a sound. Most likely, it was chosen for its simple shape to start the player off with something easy. The teardrop/dot shape means nothing by itself. Most likely, it is presented by itself early in the song to establish the rule that you have to press A for that shape when it appears as part of kanji later in the song. 力 means "power." 己 means "self." Well, that's not exactly true, but close enough. Explaining all of the ways it can be used would take too long. 寸 is an obsolete Japanese unit of length a little longer than an inch. 心 means "heart." The big face is just a big face. It means nothing. It's a derivative of the more popular "henohenomoheji."
@steeledminer6169 жыл бұрын
POWER! SELF! HEART! SHORT DISTANCE.... wait what? The most confusing part: This is a Japanese based game. What made them choose 寸?
@rezeneo9 жыл бұрын
***** cuz 寸 is a simple character WITH A DOT IN IT. I dont know japanese but it should be the same with chinese, in which one 寸 (obsolete too) = 3.3cm~3.7cm cuz we have different 寸s in history... that is about 1.3-1.4inch. we still use the word to mean a short length but never use it to actually measure length
