As a professionally trained percussionist and now music teacher, it is equally fun watching someone learn syncopation. 😁
@SynoPTL9 ай бұрын
What do you mean by syncopation? Which games are you referring to?
@jonathon4229 ай бұрын
@SynoPTL "Syncopation" is a musical term referring to notes that don't line up directly with the beat. So, any games that make you hit a button a little before or after the beat would be classified as a syncopated rhythm.
@kopekopekop9 ай бұрын
@@SynoPTL31:00 learning different polyrhythms might’ve been a better way to put it. But the right and left hand have different patterns, both move evenly but the left hand moves slower so in the span of the right playing 4 beats the left plays 3, creating a fun pattern of: both, R, L, R, both. I remember learning to play the pattern first, then as you play in time you can feel out the different time signature in each hand, in this case the right plays quarter notes on the beat and you groove until you feel an even triplet coming from your left hand.

Its actually cool as someone growing up playing this game and the rest of them and now learning drums how easily syncopation and some polyrhythms came to me

no you do not. You think you do, but it is actually *just* bs. It's not a rhythm game, there is no cue, it's just learning to play a percussion instrument, but you don't get sheet music, you just get a terrible karaoke screen. The song is good. The game is not.

Someone might have said this in stream chat offscreen, but The thing about Quiz is, while you don't have to match the pace, he gives you the star at the end if you do so in Megamix. Also, if you don't do anything in the tutorial segment, it automatically gives you the perfect medal if prompted. (definitely in Megamix, I don't remember if it does this in Tengoku), since it kicks you out but you didn't mess up any of the "real game"'s inputs.
