What a great performance indeed. Kondakova was unlucky to be present on the time of Kanayeva ! she deserved the gold too but such luck was not there .. Alina Maksymenko was fantastic and elegant in performance although she made some mistakes in many occasions.

Do you mean the clubs? They're rhythmic gymnastics clubs. Gymnasts have to perform with them, trying to keep them in motion during the song and while they do some acrobatic moves XOXO

Watching this in 2024 I realized how overscored Kanaeva and Daria is. Viner really had this influence on the judges. Kanaeva had those unnoticeable mistakes and flaws, small drop in finals but her execution score is still high up. Daria is shaky when it comes to her body difficulties, legs are not stable, over reach and etc. I mean how could they improve on their qualifying scores with those? A small drop costs so much especially in the finals. Catching the ribbon when the stick is on the ground is already a significant deduction in execution. The Artistry score is also questionable with those 9.900. A little adjustment with body elements affects the artistry, so how come it was high? In addition, why cant Belarus and Ukraine score high in Artistry? well, we know its viner.
