These guys did algae and coral ground intaking with a handoff in 3 days?! Hats off to you!

Well done BSR!! Will you be doing a video going more into detail on the robot? It'd be helpful to hear what challenges you ran into, what are the most important parts of the build, and what improvements you would make if you had the chance. 😊
@fallinglief649315 күн бұрын
On this channel we have posted daily recaps that go into a little more detail about individual mechanisms and robot strategy. Additionally, our Chief Delphi thread has a short robot breakdown posted yesterday. Hope this helps!

@fallinglief6493 Awesome! For reference I was a part of BSR two years ago and just want to make sure any current FRC students know where to find out more, since that's what Ri3D is all about at the end of the day. Love what you guys built, it's pretty similar to Summit in 2023 but with many of the lessons we learned implemented.

@fallinglief6493 I'm Ben B. I graduated MechE in 2023 but joined for part of Ri3D in 2024 since I was visiting Bozeman at the time.

Congrats on making it to day 3! That is an elegantly designed and beautifully constructed machine. I am curious - can you score the coral without pausing to outtake? If you swing the arm/elevator down, will it release itself?
@jonobell83715 күн бұрын
The coral could in theory release itself if the arm retracted while the coral was on the reef. There is definitely many configurations and scoring optimizations that can be done with our robot design.

Hi! I was wondering if you guys could talk about or post some video showing the robot doing ground intake with the coral in different types of orientations. It would be very helpful as our team is struggling with deciding on ground intake/human player station. Thanks! I left this comment in the build thread as well.
@VaporTape15 күн бұрын
The entrapton stars we use can twist a poorly oriented coral into our intake.

where is the deep cage?
@VaporTape16 күн бұрын
We did not have time to implement it. We know exactly how we’ll do it and even have all of the parts ready for it. Our day 3 recap explains how it will work.
@fallinglief649315 күн бұрын
Slight correction here, we did not design a climber for deep cage. Instead we aimed for shallow cage.
@jonobell83715 күн бұрын
We did have a “tong” that was going to go on the bottom of our first elevator stage and pull down on the bottom of the shallow cage. However, after seeing other Ri3D teams I think a similar concept could be applied for the deep cage “cam” lift. (See penn states solution for reference)
