Excellent robot! One of the most impressive RI3D bots I've ever seen. Does anyone know which pneumatic pistons they are using to lift the front/back of the robot?

Well they were having a little bit of issue getting over their 5.5 in (supposed to be 6 in but oh well lol) step, but i'm assuming that they are using the 6 in pistons available from first choice (Round Body Pneumatic Cylinder 3/4" 6 inch stroke with 2 brackets (fc-OCG1075x6)) assuming its mounted about a half inch from the floor

We used 1.25" bore pistons, 7" for the back and 8" for the front. It's what we happened to have on hand, so others may work as well! Make sure you're thinking about solutions to prevent the rods from twisting as well--ours were essentially 3/8" steel so they are decently durable.

May I suggest using some small rubber wheels on the bottom of the pistons. It seemed the low friction HDPE had troubles with sliding and keeping the robot straight.

I love the robot! How did you power the lift kit? It looks like chain for the outer stage and belts for the inner stage?

"Cascading" style, Chain on the 1st stage, ratchet strap on the 2nd stage

Would you guys recommend using a grabber than incorporates hook and loop tape? or does it not last?

You can use it, but we would suggest designing some sort of alignment mechanism better than the one we made to have consistent, reliable pickup. The velcro tape needed to be replaced after ~100 pickups or so
