@@John.S.Patton I believe the swastika (previously an ancient religious symbol) is banned in Germany as it was the symbol of a despicable regime. The white cross (Balkenkreuz) on the fuselage was just an identifier that was painted on all aircraft and most vehicles. The cross which appears on german military aircraft and vehicles now is a throwback to the first world war 'iron cross'. Even models of German aircraft from the second world war no longer come with swastikas for the tail fin - it's not PC.

Very very good vid.wow that 262! Also that griffin noise still gets the hairs up on your arms. Also gotta say seeing the harriers got me ,being of the Falklands generation .

With upgrade, the Harrier could have been retained. One of the best planes ever built and would kick ass around an A10.

Flying through Maastrich airspace a couple of days ago. Heard the controller give some very unusual traffic info. 'Traffic passing left to right, same altitude, minimum separation 7 miles, type B52 stratofortress!' Made my day and now realise it must have been heading to RIAT although at the time we were thinking where it could be going and had no good answers!

They are the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II - not to be confused with the North American T-6 Texan.

You will still be trying hard to beat the Tornado. Still I fine looking animal that should have been upgraded and retained in service with the British. Thank god Germany had the hindsight to realise the potential of this fine specimen of fighter attack aircraft.
