Tiny white flowers like babies breath, adorns sweet Marion's flower wreath. Upon each side forget-me-knots beckon, "Come see what lies beneath." Green twining forth, then purpley blue, of pretty petals peeping through. Amid white daisies, in sweet reposes. The crown of it all, the yellow roses!

It’s amazing to me how you layer all of the different flowers and elements. You just seem to know what needs to go where and when enough is enough. I think I would’ve stopped a long time ago thinking it was good enough because it was beautiful right from the beginning and I didn’t realized how much more beautiful it could be!. Oh my word, it just keeps getting more and more beautiful.😍 I loved hearing you talk about repurposing those old projects you are no longer interested in. Too often people hang onto them in case they might finish it again or out of guilt that they had invested time and money but didn’t finish. Hobbies to me are about living in the moment and creating joy, so it is such a lovely idea to have things that either bring joy or promise of something new and exciting.😊

I totally agree Leanne. It's a shame that so many stitching projects just end up half finished in drawers and cupboards. I've been guilty of that myself...but I try not to do that any more...🤞 It can be difficult though when a new idea comes calling 😅

Oh lovely result with all the dots and beads and daisies with ribbon stitch. I’m doing them tomorrow morning 😊 thank you Marion. I accidentally pulled on the yellow rose thread and it was awful, but I thought “what would Marion do?” And patiently started to pull it in shape with a blunt needle. It’s a bit of a shaggy looking rose now, beaten by the wind and the rain.

This embroidery should be kept behind glass....I mean, really, how could you dust or wash it?? I already made one small rose with stem and leaves ..on one of my white blouses... Ribbon stitch! Brilliant! Do the ribbons have to be silk? I doubt I can get silk ribbons in Mexico.

They definitely don't have to be silk. I've been using polyester ribbon for years and years as it's all I had. The silk ribbon is lovely to sew with, but just use what you can. I only recently managed to get the silk myself.
