He’s also one of the most underrated mic workers in professional wrestling history. Never stumbled over his words, and truly made you believe everything he was saying. He also had the unique ability to at any age, look like a 51yo history or health teacher in short sleeves and a tie that’s two sizes too small.

I don't think anyone was really thinking too much about the streak at that point. Taker was 8 or 9 and 0 then. But I don't think many people thought Ric would win. I think he's only won 1 match at Mania? That was an Evolution tag match

Two main differences between real sports and professional wrestling. 1. Pro wrestling has a pre-determined outcome. 2. Many pro wrestlers suffer painful, horrendous and life changing injuries. So the winner is pre-determined but the injuries are all too real!
