We've all seen how good Janice is on quads. And not so bad on inlines. These videos are more helpful than most because it truly is back to basics for things. I'd love to see a full series where you teach total novices from scratch. Give us all a proper time line and homework each week. I wont ever be as good as you or Janice. But I do want to be good enough to say hey. Ricardo Lino taught me how to skate.

It really feels so strange changing between different style skates . Like I have never skated before and my poor little brain just can’t figure it out 😂😅

I’m so proud of your wife. Back in the 90s when I was a teen girl, some of the happiest times in my life was hopping on Bart w my k2 fattys and skating all over San Francisco specifically Embarcadaro/hubba hideout. Back then you could always catch famous skaters and meet them. I sucked so bad then and I still suck now at 40 years old! Lol! My dream is to learn how to properly skate like I always imagined I could. I was too scared to really try. You and your wife are awesome! Thanks so much for the inspo!

I totally feel her fear! Not only did I just get those exact skates in that color, I just started learning on aggressive inlines after only quad skating. I looked exactly like her at the park the other day. Thank you for this video! I don't feel alone anymore. 🤣😂 It's so scary without the stops.

great video, I am 34 and bought my first agressive skates, I was lucky enough to survive my first day on them, new park was opened and there was sooo many kids on scooters and I was the only one on skates😑no one to look up to and try to learn & observe🤷♂️ This video is helping by showing on what to work first, I am hoping this will become a series🌝

Okay, you guys are adorable. This was very sweet. The couple that skates together, stays together! As they say? Super helpful video. I also have started on quads and have basics down at the park. Time to transition to aggressive in-line, so it will be a bit like relearning the park again I’m sure. Scared to go fast on the harder wheels but cannot wait for the versatility of anti-rockers and grinds ✌️❤️

I have been an aggressive quad skater for a few years, and I'm going to skate aggressive inlines for the first time today!! This video made me laugh so much because 1. I also am very toestop dependent and will be falling down a bunch while climbing ramps and 2. I empathize with the anxiety of learning new skills and not being immediately good at it! Thanks for the fun video.

Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to use my aggressive skates and it’s super intimidating going to the park with no to little knowledge. I’ve rollerblader my whole life but on the rode jumping off curbs etc but I wanna grind. But it is intimidating and it’s super cool to see the start of it and feel not so alone because well, yes I know how to blade but those parks and ramps are so smooth and I forget about it and it catches me off guard!

@Ricardo I wish you could make like a check list what a beginner should learn in which order, I feel like I need a step to step, I feel very confident going straight up and down like forward and then going down backwards and that is pretty much it, I can stop enough with a T stop I tried once to ride with the ramp. But I feel like I need goals for each time when I go practicing and I feel like a pro like you could easy make a goal thing for beginners

I cant get over the design of the semi ledge-bank ramp in the background of the learning to grind part! Looks so weird to get into! and seeing that skater needs to get into that by ''dropping in'' but also fall a bit off that ledge curb thing first! wonder why its designed like that 😅

great vid - any advice on what size I should get for a pair of Roces M12 skates? I wear US size 11 as my regular shoe size, and am mondo 28 cm. I've been hearing that you should size up a whole size from mondo size, but other have also said size up from your regular shoe size. Thanks for any advice!
