Yulia is thrillingly perfect, so precise to the music, so light on the floor. Just as in the team match, which saw perhaps the best cha cha in history of dancing (by Riccardo and Yulia, on video from Blackpool). Riccardo: excellent. R & Y still perfectly on top in the world. We love them !

Helge Christopopherson. This cha cha is supremely good, however, compare it to Brian Watson dance a cha cha. who as a male dancer, musically and rhythmically makes Riccardo look about as flexible as a broom stick. Then tell me if its the best in history. I don't think so.

@@makuletreg15. There are some aspect of him that compared to many other male dances past and present leave me unimpressed. He is a great technician, has an innate sense of timing, stylish, charismatic, striking good looks on the floor and his partnering skills are second to none. He is blessed to have been gifted 2 amazing ladies in his career (Yulia in particular) and owes much of his success to them. He himself is nothing out of the bag as far as I'm concerned.

Y and R been dancing since ages of 6 and 7. Riccardo's parents owned a dance school and always took him along . This couple are amazing and So elegant together.im amazed some people mark their videos down , It says allot about the writers

The music at Blackpool might be old fashioned but its still crashes over much of the music I hear at many comps, which is all thumping base beats and very little if any authentic Latin rhythm or feel. (Often just Awful!!!) This music is very easily over powered by todays energetic, dynamic Latin style. It' a real trap for many dancers, who only dance timing and pace, but don't express rhythm or melody. This is the most prestigious dance sport comp in the world and the music adds to that prestigious feel. Many competitions I see have more a sports carnival feel than a dance event. So leave the music alone I say.

Riccardo & Yulia are perfection, true masters. They use so many more intricate steps than the other couples all while making it look so effortless! Have to say the UK music is just so awful, they really need to modernize & update the band as every single time it’s the exact same old fashioned boring music!

@@thomassteinegger6839 The music is GREAT. This is my favourite cha cha music. It is fantastic. This music is the same as to the fantastic cha ch by Anton and Anastasia Russian Amateur champions performing in Russia this year. A thrilling performance. The music to the team match cha cha by the Empress orchestra was also good, a perfect cha cha by Riccardo and Yulia on you tube from Blackpool 2019. However, a little hint, I did not like the Paso doble music in the Pro final. Never do that again. Play the old everlasting hit all couples expect, in fact Paso this year was NOT as good by dancers because of the music.

thomst There’s a difference between classic & old fashioned, this is just dated music. I don’t believe for a second it’s the competitors favourite music at all because in their show performances they all use more modern music so they can create not only wonderful choreography, but also atmosphere & excitement. This music is beyond bland & more suitable for retirees at an over 70’s dance.

Thomst. I'm with you regarding the Blackpool music. Its more traditional and authentically Latin and that's what sets Blackpool apart from these competitions held in basketball and sports stadiums. If it was left to Bellabana I think she's one of those who would probably also tear down every historical building, railway station, old bridge and church, because they're old fashioned. I wonder why Blackpool is still the most highly regarded dance comp in the world and why it attracts so many entrants including the very best. Oh! I know, its because the music is old fashioned and only suited to retired over 70s dancers. Really, some people.

Joe Testa not true, you’re putting words in my mouth. I love most architecture whether modern or historic, each has its place. Blackpool is an iconic venue, a truly wonderful place for dance, I’m not disputing that at all, I’m simply saying the band music in many instances is dated & once again there’s a difference between classic & old fashioned. I think it suits ballroom more, Latin dance moves have changed & evolved so should the music, it should reflect the times which would help it attract a younger audience to Blackpool. Which is what happens in other places particularly in Europe which has a younger demographic attending the competitions.
