@Sonia Pischedda: I wondered the same thing. Perhaps he knows English better so he takes the lead in situations that require it? I don't know Russian, but in YT vids of her speaking it, she seems very comfortable.

Sonia Pischedda because they split the lessons.This is Riccardos lesson but there are other where Yulia is the on doing the teaching and talking ;)
