Chicken with rice can be cooked in many ways.
In this video, Chef Ivan presents his way of cooking, mixing Eastern and Balkan styles, preparing the rice so that it always cooks to perfection.
The recipe :
4 chicken thighs
200 gr. of rice
1 bay leaf
10 black peppercorns
1 carrot
1 onion
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
Preparation method
1. Season the chicken with salt and a little paprika. Put in a pan and bake the legs on the skinless side at 200 ° C for 15-20 minutes.
2. Wash the rice with water and pour 500 ml of cold water to keep it soaked for 20 minutes, heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the finely chopped onions together with the chopped carrots for one minute.
3. Add the drained rice and fry for a minute, add salt, pepper and bay leaf and pour 600 ml of hot water.
4. Take the baked legs out of the pan and put the rice in it, the legs are placed on the rice with the skin facing up.
5. Sprinkle with paprika and bake for 40 minutes at 150 ° C in the lowest part of the oven.
