I live in a country that don't require ground from the outlet. I like to remove the keep warm feature from the cooker. So disconnecting the high resistance coil would do it. Would it be wise? With the keep warm on, the circuit is closed the moment you plug it. Would I get a shock touching the cooker in case I remove the resistor?

Wrong warm indicator connection, it should be connected across high resistance coil.
