This isn't a spoiler as it is not really explained. Hasirama was a freak of nature, essentially a genetic anomaly while being a Senju, and other reasons can explain the origins of his power. the manifestation of this power was just pure extreme luck. Thus his extraordinary genetics combined with growing up during the warring era, make him reach the peak of his genetic potential and thus is the reason he is so strong. He in essence inherited the perfect genetics and had the best environment to result in him being so overwhelmingly strong.

What I like about Madara is despite the hatred he feels for Hashirama, in the same breath praises him as his rival and the strongest Shinobi. When he talks about Hashirama, he seems more happy than upset and as he does I became more convinced that Hashirama did beat Madara 1v1 without help because believe me I had my doubts when I seen Madara tear through the Fourth Division.

I think it’s really interesting that this is actually the first time Sasuke has had a genuine conversation with Itachi in like 8-10 years. Everything is finally out in the open and Sasuke can finally see all of the reasons why Itachi did what he did, and speak plainly about it. It’s probably such a breath of fresh air for Sasuke but also probably breaks his heart that he’s been lied to and following a fictitious goal all this time (avenging his clan by killing Itachi).

I know you all are a month ahead and stuff - but a simple way to understand "but how was he so much stronger" is just look at Madara here...Madara isn't using Uchiha powers to fight the Kage...he's using the 1st Hokage's Deep Forest abilities and Wood Style. That should tell you a lot that Madara who has and incredible skill set is turning to the powers of Hashirama to fight the battle. So, hopefully that helps you understand the power scale of elemental techniques on display.

I would not say that Madara is a misogynist. He is specific about hating "weak" shinobi and particularly "weak" Senju (Tsunade and Hashirama's clan). It is more a obsession with power and a belief that only power is what matters in this world. It is also about both his respect and obsessive hatred of the Senju clan for what happened to his brother and the Uchiha clan. As soon as Tsunade proves that she has real strength like her grandfather, Madara immediately starts to target her seriously and even complements her on her healing power. He respects strength above all else. It is a pathological component of his personality.

Madara just has the 1st Hokage cells in his body not the Hokage himself. The 1st Hokage's reanmation was sealed away back in OG Naruto Lord Third seated away the 1st & 2nd along with himself with the Reaper Death Seal like the 4th Hokage so none can be brought back again with the reanmation jutsu.

Itachi during the massacre puts Izumi (his lover) in the Tsukiyomi which in the genjutsu world is them being together and having kids etc, with Izumi dying of old age in the Tsukiyomi but her brain thinks she’s actually old and she died peacefully. All this in 1 one millionth of a second.
