A painter was scammed by a very nasty customer who hired him to do work and was never going to pay. The customer had access to good lawyers which made it even harder for the painter to get the money.

I wouldn't do the job if i wasn't getting the paint especially for a job that big I always use johnstones trade and palatine paints for my oil based which i order from Lancashire as they still make pre 2010 oil based paints which are more durable and don't go yellow in a years time I don't put a mark up on it I just charge for fuel if im driving to johnstones decorating centre you can't price the job correctly and in confidence if your using their paint which more than likely be a retail paint which will more than likely need a extra 1-2 coats and same for the woodwork if I'm being paid do a job I need to be in full control of materials that i trust and know what they can do I even show customers the receipts if they want to see them I want proper paint with decent pigment not coloured chalk full of thickeners and also you can't thin retail paints down either in my opinion paint firms should just stop making the rubbish but they won't cause thats where they make most their profits by selling paint that should only be giving away

@@andersontm1 Say something about white gloss paint and how it yellows, show the small print on the cans and offer some alternatives, few people know about this, you'd be the first to make a big deal about it great for the algo and engagement

@@jonnyrondo507 That's a really great idea, thank you! I would also do a bit of research to make sure I put it across properly. Please do say if anything else comes to mind, I really appreciate your help.
