Based on McDuffie's comments about how Wentz has been throwing in practice, and all his experience plus the fact that he's only a year or two older than Mahomes, I trust him to go out there and at least give the Texans a run for their money. The Chiefs gave Pacheco and Hunt 13 carries apiece against the Browns, and they've also got Perine, Steele, and Worthy in the short game, so even if Hollywood and Humphries are both ready to go on Saturday, I expect a lot of dinking and dunking. Then you see if Mahomes is ready to go on Christmas, but if the Patriots somehow beat the Bills and the Chiefs do manage to beat the Texans, that game doesn't matter anyway.

Wentz is probably a "High Floor, Low Ceiling" player at this point in his career. He can drive the bus and isn't a complete stiff, but he's not really a long-term answer at the position, but Mahomes' ceiling is the sky. His floor is higher, too. I do think the Texans are inferior to the Chiefs and likely will get hammered at home in the Playoffs by a better squad.

The idea that they flipped a switch is a bit off. Last post-season they never scored 30 points, and the scores match what they've done this year (outside of Miami who was frozen). Last post season they won: 26-7, 27-24, 17-10 and 25-22 (OT). The Chiefs are in a pickle if they want the #1 seed. The Bills will likely win out against Jets and Pats twice, and finish 14-3 with a tie break over the Chiefs. Chiefs need to win 2 of 3 last games to finish 15-2, one game above Bills. I'd say sit Mahomes out for the next game vs Houston at least. You guys sound deranged when you talk about it like it's a conspiracy theory or a trick....once you get an injury, it's easier for it to repeat. He's had high ankle sprains in his right ankle before and it's not surprising for it to happen again. He doesn't miraculously recover, he just works through the pain with adrenaline when a Super Bowl or playoff win is on the line. It's what any good player would do, and in fact, many of them have played through injuries in tight spots. You guys just love to hate on Mahomes and it makes you sound ridiculous.
