I loved watching McCaffrey at Stanford. He should have won the Heisman. He broke the legendary combined yardage record of Barry Sanders by 600 yards! (He didn't even play in Stanford's bowl game that year as I recall.) He fits the 49er's offensive style perfectly. The 9ers bye week is this week, which gives them two weeks to get their other stars back. If they can stay healthy, they will be scary good.

Actually, Christian bypassed his senior year to enter the draft. Also, his junior year was good but somewhat injury-marred. His best season was his sophomore year when he broke Barry Sanders' record and destroyed Iowa in the Rose Bowl

It's crazy how many teams which were being talked about as SuperBowl contenders during the preseason now look like they will struggle to make the playoffs. Packers, Rams, Bucs ... people were even talking up the Raiders and Broncos. Meanwhile teams expected to go nowhere are leading their divisions ... Eagles, Vikings, Seahawks. Even the Giants are 6-2. The only teams really living up to expectations are the Chiefs and Bills.

McCaffrey is the perfect RB for SF's offense. His running style reminds me of Frank Gore. He hits holes with authority, he is hard to tackle and he is great at catching the ball. One of the things he don't get enough credit for is his blocking ability. Once Eli Mitchell is healthy SF will have a two headed monster at RB. SF's offense is a matchup nightmare for defenses because they have so many players who can play multiple positions. Once SF gets healthy, their offense will be very hard to stop. As for the NFC West standings, SF is one game back from Seattle. However, they still have two games against a horrible Arizona team and one game against the Seahawks (which could determin the division). SF has an easier remaining schedule as well as an undefeated division record.

It's exciting, but objective 49ers fans understand that you can not run this guy in between the tackles 30 times a game so it blows my mind they are trying to move Wilson when they could be rotating them,Christian is not a bell cow and Kyle loves to run people in between the tackles until he breaks them down and they get hurt including our franchise QB he traded the farm for. When Kyle gets something that works, there is no mixing it in he runs it until he chews up every back or the league figures it out. This guy is a perfect fit if Kyle can learn the meaning of load management. Just like Mitchell the guy heals up comes back and Kyle does not ease him back in at all 30 to 35 carries right out the gate he rushes for over a 100 yards has great game and gets hurt again. That's why Deebo wanted his money he knows in Kyle's offense he will have a short career, there is a reason we are the most injured team in football and after 6 seasons of this it's clearly not just bad luck.
