@@michaelcoletta4547 Not really a flex to say McDaniels coached Mac better than Patricia and Judge. The 2008 Matt Cassel season, 11-5 sounds goods if you only look at those numbers, but they missed the playoffs meaning at least 6 teams performed better than them in the conference. They also had the 28th hardest schedule which is a big reason why they were able to get 11 wins. Compare that to 2007 with the 8th hardest schedule and 2009 with the 4th hardest schedule. If Cassel started any other year he doesn't even win 8 games.

It's sad how the Patriots failed him. Belichick is to blame for surrounding him with garbage talent and constantly changing his OC. But it's also on Mac. His attitude sucked as things went downhill. yeah it's sort of frustrating that now all the sudden they're going to finally address those and put a better team around whoever they draft. as a Pats fan, i hope Mac is able to figure it out and show NE that they fucked up. love Bill and i think he tried to piece it back together last year but it was too late; he was trying to build a defense that could carry the offense, and just run the ball, similar formula to the first Pats dynasty, but it was just too little too late. we knew the issues going into the season and he didn't address them. there are other issues, too, losing coaches, scouts, executives etc., and ownership that was increasingly undermining his authority (going behind his back to work with Mayo), but the buck stops with Bill.

What does that have to do with that horrific throw in Germany? Or those terrible throws vs the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders and much more. Go back and watch and you will see clean pockets by NFL standards. Terrible throws that cost the team. Interceptions in over 80% of the games when taking a sack or throwing the ball away could have won some of those games. Miss us with that regurgitated no weapons argument. It doesn't excuse the bad decisions.

You can't quit and find another job because you are contractually obligated to work there. You are probably going to stop caring and start making a lot of basic mistakes. @@clarkkent1521 To say Patricia had no idea what he was doing is crazy considering he started his coaching career on offense. He coached offense at both college and professional levels. Just like McDaniels started on defense. The media programmed you to think coaches cannot comprehend the other side of the ball. Even as DC and HC he still had to understand how offense works for him to game plan in addition to his past experience. And offense looked way better when he was calling plays vs when the "real" OC came along. As for Mac, even if all your points were accurate he is still to blame. I have a better analogy. Imagine a pilot who gets rattled and starts to make mistakes because of issues caused by poor maintenance and management. Even if its not his fault, would you want him flying any plane youre on? The point is Mac Jones is not mentally tough enough to be a starting NFL QB. Many successful QBs still made the right decision on game day even though their situations were crappy. No excuses.
@clarkkent1521
@clarkkent1521 6 ай бұрын
@@Tsepete If it's not the pilot's fault, it's not the pilot's fault. The only reason people would be hesitant to hire that pilot is because he is now associated with something negative, even though it wasn't his fault at all. Someone who is falsely accused of rape will always have that association of rape with him, even though he didn't do it. The mishandling by others can forever ruin a person's life that didn't do anything wrong. The school to prison pipeline. If you treat a person like a criminal, they may grow up to be a criminal. And Patricia's highest offensive rank was assistant o-line coach for one year. Not really a stellar offensive resume.

IMO, Mac Jones could’ve help push Cam Newton out too quick. Bill B said Cam was the Starter up until the day b4 they brutally cut him on last cut day after he was re-signed. Cam wasn’t as bad as the Boston Media depicted him, & not all of his total work was never reported to ESPN. The ESPN representatives didn’t help Cam like they did Mac . Cam won 7-8, 66% completion, 3200 total yds, & had 21 total tds. Cam also broke records, as a Patriot & tied a Rushing td record of 12 held by Plunkett. He is 1st QB to have a Receiving td, won the 2020, Boston Media Award for his untiring dedication, 1st Black QB1 to be the Starter for an entire year, etc. Boston Media was mad Brady left, so they took a lot of their anger out on Cam. Cam inherited a team from Bray with: 8 opt outs, only 1 top receiver, no TEnds, 4 top players got hurt, Covid outbreak, etc. Cam signed mid July, 2020. He had no Preseason or Training Camp. He had only 5 wks to get ready for season opening in September. Cam did well considering the disaster he got and the 1st to follow Brady. Bill gave Cam mostly a Practice Squad to replace injured players. Cam got resigned in March, 2021. The team got 170 Million upgrade in Weapons. Kraft said Cam never got a fair chance. He would get them in yr 2. Kraft changed his mind, & switched all of them to Mac. The competition was the biggest HOAX

The teams they beat leading up to the playoff blowout loss were losers all year. My question is. Was Mac as good as the record suggests? No. Teams figured him out. It's not a surprise BB tried to trade him because he saw Mac's ceiling at the same time other teams figured him out. Where is the criticism for Belichick ruining this guy's career? Belichick genuinely set this guy up to fail by his 2nd year. Man Mac Johns was so overhyped and still is Mac was fined for dirty plays and no one liked him. Stop making excuses for him. He brought a lot on himself. Bill destroyed this kid. Mac was a very good QB with the right coaching but Bill's ego was too much. I am glad no team wants him I have no sympathy for Jones this is what he gets for being cocky and arrogant Trevor Lawrence's first season definitely counts. He played every single game and they were bad. We never said don't count any of the Lions / Browns/ Cardinals/ '70s Bucs because they were absolutely terrible. "The Jests did everything in their power to ensure Zach Wilson didn't start a game for them in 2023"? What the hell are you talking about? The signed Aaron Rodgers, who went down on the first drive of the first game, and then the Jets did nothing. Well, I suppose eventually they benched Wilson for some dude whose name I can't even remember, but that was just the usual Jets braintrust's (and I use the term very loosely) half-assed reaction to the completely correct accusations of that they--the "braintrust"--hadn't given any thought to what they were going to do if their 40 year old qb wasn't able to play every snap of the 2023 season. That was just a very tardy reaction, however. They did nothing at all proactive to keep Wilson from having to start, like, say, signing an unemployed former Jets qb named Joe Flacco, or working out a trade in the half of a season's time they had to do so before the deadline. In other words, the Jets didn't do the two most important and effective things they should have done if their goal was to keep Wilson from having to start after Rodgers got hurt. Not that it really matters--Zach Wilson is not and never will be good enough to play qb1 in the nfl, but it's patently false to say "the Jets did all they could."

i have to lay the blame on belichick for ruining this first round pick. no one else. reason? the same reason why belichick thought brady was no more than a system quarterback. belichick was the star in his own eyes. he could do the same with any quarterback, or so he thought. how has that worked out for you, bill? mac jones behind trevor lawrence is a good move for the jags and for jones. jones needs time to put back the pieces belichick discarded. my instincts suggest that jones will yet become the quarterback that saban saw in him. he will rise from the ashes. if trevor gets hurt, if jones gets enough time; mr lawrence may be the jags drew bledsoe. not saying that jones will rise to brady's status, but this is the nfl, and when quarterbacks are given a chance, the starter often eventually finds himself working elsewhere.

Patricia shouldn't be a coach in the NFL. Bill Bellichick is a glorified DC that can't win without the GOAT at QB. Any other HC putting a defensive coach in charge of the offense and with the total failure in the draft would be run out of town with pitchforks.

You can talk about the Pats and Bill destroying this kid all you want, but it’s Mac Jones’s decision making that doomed him. He chose to throw those unbelievably bad interceptions. He chose to kick a grown man in the balls when a play didn’t go his way. He chose to bitch and moan and show his teammates and coaches up on the field. Almost every first round QB taken in the history of the league has coaching turmoil around him; you’re not picking that high because you got a stable nurturing environment on your team. Mac Jones just needs to grow up if he wants to make it in this league.

Belichick intentionally sabotaged Jones after Jones disrespected him over Belichick hiring his failed coaching buddies Judge and Patricia and then tasked the former special teams coordinator and defensive coordinator with running the offense. Belichick is a very vindictive person. He gave up a Superbowl to placate his ego when he retaliated against Malcom Butler, and the divorce with Brady was due to Belichicks vanity and ego as well. It is very easy to see this.

Mac needs a few years to grow up and hopefully become a leader of men. He did ok the first year, but he also had a lot of help facing some weak competition that gave false hope. Hence the drumming the bills have the team that year in the playoffs.

Mac Jones making a pro bowl his rookie year is so overplayed. It wasn’t an achievement worth noting. He only made the pro bowl because several better quarterbacks said to themselves, “I’m not going to that joke of a game”. Lots of bad to meh quarterbacks have made it to a pro bowl for the same reason. Unless you were one of the top 3 quarterbacks voted to the pro bowl it shouldn’t be brought up.

The way Bill’s time ended at New England and after watching Dynasty and the way he talked to to even HoF players in team meetings Bill ain’t never gonna be a head coach in the NFL again There’s no way the players of today are playing for a guy like that, they’re just not built or thick skinned enough like that.

I watched some of the NE games when Jones started his first season, he played well. I think that Bill B is a difficult coach to play for. He was not nice to Brady and Tom Left NE shortly after their last meeting with Bill B and the owner. BB is NOT a nice man.
