The whole “advantage” angle of that light doesn’t make sense. No matter which way you chose to defend, either the QB or the WR has the sun in their face (wR is looking backwards for the ball, an QB is throwing forwards). According to him, it’s not about talent; it’s about favoritism. If you kiss up enough or play the politics right, you’ll get your snaps and even a solid contract. But here’s the kicker, he compared it to a little league football team. Folks, if that doesn’t highlight dysfunction at the core, I don’t know what does.

It’s undeniably an intentional choice by Jerry to flash bang the players every home game post the clocks going back to standard time.

There is an easy explanation for all of this. They messed up when they designed the stadium and are too embarrassed to admit it. It then spirals into the chaotic mess you see today. Almost every person or organization on the planet would work so much better if everyone had the sense to admit to a mistake and learn from it. But, there is a such a stigma on mistakes that people would rather go out of there way to fabricate an excuse or attempt to, somehow, deflect reality.

Rich proposes an interesting idea, but the Cowboys cannot apply the curtains for their team, and then remove them when the opponent has the ball. Better for Jerry and Company to field a more competitive team so that the "stadium light" is not the main area of focus.

Stadium effects that affect both teams equally can still be exploited through the roster and game plan. In baseball, the valuation of hitters and pitchers depends on wall height, wind, and altitude, and you would build a different roster to maximize win total in Denver vs New York vs anywhere else. If Dallas focused on a dynamic run game, they could lean on it when they're playing with the sun at their backs; it blinds the defense, and no offensive players ever have to stare into it. That would help sustain drives into the sun as well (I wonder if interception rate is noticeably higher on into-the-sun drives). What I'm saying is they just need to sign Derrick Henry.

JJ’s circus tent is a special place 93,000 plus sellout crowds go to. He’s a great businessman. Respect.

It started because Dallas management felt a quarterback with limited skills was more important than having a true running back which has been a Dallas backbone for years. Hiring a has been defensive coach was the second mistake

3:48 I think this is true. I think parsons just chose his words poorly and honestly think he was trying to say Zach Martin deserves it even more than McCarthy, as in saying even with all the stuff McCarthy does and intended more to compliment him. I also want to say I have since the begging thought McCarthy was a bad hire and Jerry isn’t a good owner just to prove I’m not trying to be bias

If the game was at 1 pm, the sun wouldn't have been an issue. There should have been a way to darken the windows. During the second half, the sun was lower, and the windows weren't a problem. The Eagles and Cowboys did not have good offense stats in the first half. When the sunlight wasn't a problem (in the 2nd half), the Eagles exploded. As much money as Jones has, this should be dealt with.

It's nice to hear that the Cowboys are described as the "most dysfunctional" team in the NFL, it's usually my Raiders!

both teams are dealing with the same lighting each home game. the home team is much more used to that lighting in every game. logically, it is absolutely an advantage to be much more used to a major flaw of your environment than the other team. pretty simple.
