Brockman take is so dumb 😅. Cause to suggest there is no way that wouldn't happen is naive. The fact is there could be a conflict of interest. It's kinda like how they don't want broadcasters to bet on football either

Brockman is ridiculous, Brady have ANY percentage gives you added incentive, and this is an unprecedented situation. It warrants attention.

Brockman is being obtuse on purpose because he's a fanboy. Aikman etc is not the same thing. As a 1% stakeholder, Tom would have a huge financial interest in the success of the Raiders, whereas Aikman has a huge financial interest (keeping his gig) in being impartial. I'm not saying Brady would leak info, but it doesn't matter the NFL can't enable the possibility.

It makes sense. All of these teams try to get the edge as much as possible on their opponents. They are absolutely correct in being paranoid of Tom giving the raiders any inside information that he gets. Especially given the pats history of cheating scandals. Don’t know why that’s so hard to comprehend

Broadcasters have occasionally mentioned sitting with players and/or coaches during production meetings during the week. I've even heard them mention seeing a trick play in practice after seeing it during the game.

It's about money. The more he can do to put the Raiders in a position to win, the more chance they have of winning. If they win more, the team is more valuable, and therefore, the more money his portion is worth. When money is a part of it, you can't assume anyone will be trustworthy, let alone Brady, who has shown he's not afraid to go to the line and scribble over it.

Why does the media know a team’s planned playbook for a certain game? Kinda goes along a similar comment on the Fox broadcast showcasing Brady as the new lead analyst. Is this confirmation of NFL games being scripted? What exactly is a live sports game production meeting for anyway?

The elephant in the room is that Tom has already been penalized for cheating multiple times during his playing career. It is entirely reasonable to assume Brady would not follow the rules of decorum surrounding broadcasters.

Oh, that's a good point I haven't thought of. The commentators get advance interviews with the coaching staff so they can pepper it in to the broadcast. Brady shouldn't be allowed to participate in that as an owner. That's 100% an unfair advantage.

The broadcast crews acces to Training sessions alone is an end of that discussion. He has access nobody else gets. Btw can you imagine the tampering? An official one on one pre game interview with the goat who casually mentions how he would like you on the raiders? Any on air comments like "thats the type of corner you want in your defense" is immedeatly flagged as possible tambering.

Tom Brady can definitely silo things. Just like Bill Belichick would. Bill would watch some random videos of other teams practices, for pure entertainment value, and then silo that off and not use any of the information that might have been present in those videos. It's easy. You just silo that stuff off and it doesn't become an issue.

It is tied to betting in the sense that there will be a sense of doubt on people losing money on games against the Raiders, if a partial owner has access to information no other team has….

In a league full of d-riding broadcasters, a raiders d-riding broadcaster is certinly something new. As a chargers fan, i dont like the idea of them getting tipped off by brady, but on the flipside, at least we might start seeing more media coverage of vegas' shortcomings.
