@@RiktorchyA I would put Spaceballs above it and maybe a few others but it is definitely one of my favs. Much more adult oriented which is what makes it so good.

Some honorable mentions: Ferris Buller's Day Off, Weird Science, Big, Spaceballs, The Princess Bride, National Lampoons Vacation, Stripes, Police Academy, The Blues Brothers, Revenge of the Nerds, The Naked Gun, Better Off Dead, 9 to 5, Twins, Crocodile Dundee, Three Men and a Baby, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Tootsie, A Fish Called Wanda, Adventures in Babysitting, 48 Hours, Summer School, Real Genius, Risky Business. Some of these may be borderline on comedy, but some of them are hands down on my list and some of Riches would be off my list. Really rich, not one single girl comedy. 9 to 5 HAS to be there to represent the times and celebrate some of the greatest power women in Hollywood of all time. I also would HAVE to have Spaceballs and The Princess Bride. No way they are not in my list. I would also have A Fish Called Wanda too, John Cleese was brilliant and cannot be left off this list. I also think National Lampoons Vacation is so much better than Caddyshack in my book.

Spot on for the most part. Midnight run is definitely a good choice. Stripes definitely needed to be up there merely for the Ant Jemima of my treatment scene

"The Blues Brothers" is my hands-down favorite movie of ALL TIME. It just never gets old....would be my #1 on this list. John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, Carrie Fisher, John Candy, James Brown, Twiggy, Steve Lawrence, Pee-Wee Herman, John Lee Hooker, and on and on....the producers looked at Paul Schafer of "Letterman" fame to be the keyboard player, but he had other contractual obligations and wasn't available. Akroyd: "We're on a mission from God." Aretha: "Don't you blaspheme! Don't you blaspheme in here!!!!!!!" I could spend the next 3-4 hours citing lines.....Cab Calloway: "Boys, you got to learn not to speak to nuns that way." Barkeep at Bob's Country Bunker when asked what kind of music they play: "We have both kinds! Country AND western!" I would have also added "Christmas Vacation," 1989.....Randy Quaid: "Shitter's full!" Then Chevy Chase looks at Beverly D'Angelo and in a totally deadpan straight voice asks "Honey, have we checked our shitters??"

I'm down with all of Eisen's Top 5, but I can't ignore the absolute greatness that is Airplane! I don't have them in the same order, either. Rich's 6-10 don't work for me, though. I have Zero Hour! oops, I mean Airplane! as my #1, and in my Top 10 I've also got Stripes, Better Off Dead, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Raising Arizona. Fletch and Midnight Run can ALMOST make my short list, but Back To School, Naked Gun, and Mr. Mom just don't rank all that highly for me.

Respect to Rich. Although I don't agree with all his choices, he's pretty close to nailing it!
