The guy is a great athlete and occasionally flashes pretty damn good as a QB. I can’t believe that one of these “brilliant” (we hear that term thrown around way too often) outside-the-box coaches can’t figure out a way to use his size, toughness, SPEED, etc, etc to come up with some effective ways to use him. Was I the only one that saw that one handed catch against the Panthers awhile back?? Or that “Angry Run” scepter winning red zone TD not too long ago?? The Giants was not the place for Daniel, but the kid has an upside that some smart coach is gonna tap into. The guy also has shown real mental toughness, and his teammates clearly rally around him. He’ll be in the League for a long time and may even be a successful starting QB. And spare me the hate, it’s just my opinion.

If Daniel Jones even wants to sign somewhere this season, he needs to look into a team that's a good scheme fit for what he does well, such as running, bootlegs, a little play-action. Also, a team that is actually playing for something and really needs a backup QB upgrade. Those teams are the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals. Of those three, Arizona is my choice. They really could use him if Kyler goes down.

lol lateral movement. I think he should go to an NFC west team and be a 2nd stringer, learning from a stable coaching environment and/or from other vets. He could have a Sam darnold kind of opportunity if he sits in an incubation chamber for a year or two biding his time rather than rushing back to the starting lines to be further embarrassed (should he be ineffective there too, which is a higher likelihood than his success)….

Ill say this. As a Giants fan that was done with him year 3, i could see it. Raiders likely end up with a project QB that needs to sit (we're rushing them out kut too quick anyways.) in the mean time they sit behind DJ and learn (what nit to do most likely.) gives personnel time to develop the kid. One thing is for sure his work ethic was always insane and if our lockeroom stayed together through all the BS we experienced with him there 6 years he must be a hell of a presence in there. Tbat said, Miami and Detroit are more sensible options for him.

Haha I'm tired of sports commentators associating schools that athletes went to with intelligence. I've heard it a ton with Rodgers going to Cal Berkeley, Kyrie going to Duke, and now Daniel Jones going to Duke. These guys didn't get into school with their intelligence, they got in with their elite athletic abilities and only need like a 2.0 to get a NCAA scholarship. The only two schools that supposedly have high academic standards for athletes to attend are Stanford and Notre Dame but not sure if that's true or legit...the Lopez bros went to Stanford haha

Teams that can/should sign Daniel Jones for the remainder of this season - 4. Miami Dolphins... Tua is a walking injury risk and the team already saw what happens if he goes down. The calls for Mike Mcdaniels job already started and he can't afford to punt on this season. 3. Arizona Cardinals... Every week this team is becoming everyone's favorite Cinderella and they are now in the driver's seat for a playoff spot... with Clayton Tune as the backup QB.. If Kyler were to get hurt the season would be immediately over. 2. Detroit Lions... The presumptive Super Bowl favorite is in great shape with a QB who never gets hurt... but that only holds true until it doesn't and right now Hendon Hooker with all of 9 career passes is the backup and while he has shown some flashes there is zero chance he leads them on a deep playoff run at this juncture of his career. The scheme would have to change considerable to move from Goff to DJ but it could be the difference between a playoff run and a wasted season. 1. Baltimore Ravens... Lamar is usually durable but he has missed games nearly every season of his career and right now their backup is Josh Johnson and does anyone think there is any chance that he could win games if called upon. The scheme would not need to change at all to install DJ and for a team that is always on the precipice of winning big they would not want to be in the hands of a 38 year old never was.

Jones was way over-drafted. Giants' GM Dave Gettleman who picked him really wanted Justin Herbert but Herbert decided to stay at Oregon for another season. Jones was not top 10 material, he's really only backup caliber, but Gettleman got desperate. That said, he might make a good back up to Herbert for Jim Harbaugh's Chargers.

Fortunately they drafted Jerry Tillery and the Broncos drafted Lock in the 2nd round. The Chargers got Herbert the next season. Whew. Tillery was a bust for the Chargers, but I will always appreciate that he saved the Chargers from drafting Lock. 2019 was just a bad QB class.
