There’s a mic’d up sounds video on the Steelers’ channel that adds to the Hard Knocks episode that shows Coach Tomlin saying to Nick Herbig after the TJ watt strip sack, “hey hey .... when you gonna join the party, Herb?” 😆😆 MikeT knows his name. Coach invited Nick Herb to the party and Nick Herb showed up.

This is the first time I’ve watched ‘Hard Knocks’ since probably the first season. I checked this episode out because of Mike T and Russell and it was so good. He’s such a positive coach who speaks life into his players. He’s exactly what Russell needed after Denver.

Tomlin is referred to as St. Tomlin because he has gotten performance out of some of the all-time biggest shitheads the NFL has ever seen. Laveon Bell, Rapistberger, and Antonio Brown. He saved Russell Wilson's career.

@RebeccaTaylorTillery
@RebeccaTaylorTillery 5 күн бұрын
@@CompleteProducer84 their base defense is the 3-4. There are different different defensive packages, so it doesn't always look like a 3-4. But, you always have the 3 men on the line, 2 defensive linemen and the nose tackle. Sometimes the outside linebackers are on the line or very close to the line, so that you have more men rushing the quarterback. And it looks like everyone is on the line or very close to the line for a blitz. But, regardless of how the linebackers line up, the base defense is the 3-4. Now with the 4-3, you have 4 defensive linemen on the line and only 3 linebackers.

He is a players coach, he knows how to communicate with each of his playmakers. He "shifts" constantly talking to each player and each player knows he puts in the work for them to treat them the way they want to be treated. He is going to walk up to Feiremuth and slap him on his back and say "Big catch MUUUUUUTH" but then walk up to Wilson and shift to what Wilson needs to hear which is a compliment sandwich. Love it or hate it, its what works with a bunch of pro athletes that can go anywhere and play for anybody but if you have a coach that is working hard to get to know each player and understands what each player needs to be motivated to go 100% then you get the Steelers.

It Highlights Sean Payton's failure really. No matter what he's doing with Nix, they are still paying Russ and it's Sean's fault he couldn't make Russ successful (even though the Bronco's weren't that bad last year). They could have used that pick on another edge or OL or something. But Sean is not planning on coaching for much longer (3 years) and he wanted to start from scratch so he threw Russ under the bus last year. But Payton has to deal with Reid/Mahomes and Harbaugh/Herbert and there''s no way he's going back to the SB before he retires

He hasn’t won a playoff series in 6 years and hockey coaches get fired all the time. Completely different

@bilba5406 dude that is hilarious. How many playoff games has Coach Tomlin won in the last decade? How many head coaches have ALREADY been fired in the nfl this season? Are you just choosing to ignore the revolving head coaching door in the NFL? "completely different" ..... roflmao. Thanks for the chuckle.

@@burnout_2017 I’m talking about Mike Sullivan…..NHL is complete different than NFL. I even mentioned the word hockey. The irony of you laughing when you’re the one who can’t read.

@@bilba5406 its obvious you have a comprehension problem. The fact that you mentioned hockey has nothing to do with my response to your silliness.

Tomlin got 8-ish seasons of good to Hall of Fame out of Antonio Brown. Tomlin and staff can work with Pickens.

I certainly think Mikey T is entertaining to watch, but at the end of the day he needs to win a playoff game sometime soon. It's been about seven years since a playoff W. And it's not like the playoff losses are close, his teams get blown out. Like Tomlin, but I like Playoff Ws more. Let's hope for some this year.

With the QB room that Mike has had over the last few years I have to give him some credit for at least keeping the team competitive. Now in the NFL if you don't have a great QB you have no chance of winning the Super Bowl.

For all the Tomlin haters. Try having a team that has a winning record once or twice a decade and you will realize what a treasure you have.

18 years without a losing season, all the talk about Tomlin... not a single COTY, only once ever even been "in the running", a 4th place in 2019.
