As someone who grew up with a toxic, gaslighting family (especially my narcissistic mother), I was moved to tears at the reminder that there is nothing like a loving family, whether it is one you are born into or one you create! I am lucky to have a wonderful group of loving, supportive people around me now, and just thinking of them in this type of situation absolutely brought on the waterworks!
