In this episode, there is a credit scene showing Deku's mom waiting outside his room to know if he passed the test or not, and he comes outside smiling.. and his mom gets emotional and cries happy for his results.. both of them are so emotional hehe

The big robot is worth 0 points because the teachers put it as a test within that exercise, they wanted to see if the students faced a threat of great risk even lacking this value and even having recommended them to avoid it. Imagine if in a real situation the heroes will avoid stopping a villain or some other type of threat just because it is very difficult to stop, what kind of hero would do that xD

Yeah, Midoriya has incredible strength, but lacks incredible bone density to compensate. You were right on the mark with your comment about Quirks having downsides. Almost every ability in the show has a consequence to its overuse (even Recovery Girl), and it's utilised really well as the series goes on.

@Purple Citrine True! But SOME quirks seem to require "support" abilities that might outclass the quirk itself. Bakugo, for example, can blow up stuff in his own face without suffering brain damage, loss of hearing/eyesight, and so on. Later on, we do find that overdoing it causes potentially irreversible harm, but if he can explode something with the palm of his hand without slowing down, he also has Incredible Hulk levels of durability. Bullets should bounce off. Tsu should be able to flip a tank, based on her ability to grab/carry a guy from twenty feet away with her tongue in mid-leap without tearing her own head off or even losing velocity.

I really love this episode because they creator designed the whole entrance exam even better than I could ever think of, I was pleasantly surprised because I thought it would be a typical exam which shows off how OP the protagonist is but what this anime shows is soooo much better and make more sense..

@@ajrich I hope you find the time to play the games one day. The animes cut a good bit from the OG visual novels. There's a remake, or remaster, called "Steins;Gate ELITE" out for the first one that also animates the other endings, but that also uses the original anime footage so a chunk of the stuff the anime leaves out is also cut from that. Basically, play the original Steins;Gate, or you can probably find the endings somewhere here on youtube, but playing the original for yourself will always be the better experience, for the most part. And Also Steins;Gate 0's original VN. The anime isn't bad, and improves a few things, but again, you can never go wrong with the originals.

The thing about heroes having their own cities does make sense, as hero agencies (a collection of a pro hero and their sidekicks) usually have a physical headquarters. The size of the area that a particular pro hero covers often varies from one agency to the next, with the Quirks of the pro heroes running the agencies as well as the types of incidents they usually resolve.

About the how the quirks works, that's the great thing about MHA, that the weaknesses are being explained from time to time, and every quirk varies so much, like Deku's mom has telekinesis and his dad can breathe fire, but since Deku doesn't have a quirk of his own, what could have been his quirk is either the one or the other, or a combination of both, like applying telekinesis to something by breathing fire onto it.

I believe the reason the Rescue Point system wasn't announced up front is because the idea is that real heroes wouldn't/shouldn't need an incentive to rescue people in danger, so in that sense this system rewards those who go above and beyond what is expected of them if that makes sense.

The thing ab deku breaking his arms isnt bc he absorbed only part of all mights power, it’s bc he has all of all mights power, but his body is too weak to handle the full power of a smash so he breaks. Also the healing lady ability isn’t as op as it seems. She can heal almost anything, but with two limitations. I believe it has to be an injury that can naturally heal on its own and also the healing drains the energy of the person being healed in correspondence with the severity of the injury. So the worse the injury, the more energy is drained from midoriya

To think if any of those running away from the zero point monster, (especially Iida the guy with glasses) had stopped to grab Midoriya, that would've counted as rescue points but they left him and Uraraka (the girl) behind to save themselves. I also love that Uraraka got points for slapping Midoriya (preventing him from falling to his death). XD

This will be discussed in future episodes but the thing about his power is that he can't really control it yet, but yeah he isn't used to the power so that's why he got all broken after his first usage (kind of like if IRL you're using matches as a kid for the 1st time and get burned) Edit: I don't see this as much of a spoiler, if you do I'm terribly sorry and it won't happen again

The reason he breaks bones is because youre trying to fit like 8 peoples power all into a small and not yet trained body. As for Recovery Girl, her quirk isnt too much of a hack. It uses the bodys natural healing ability, so it couldnt heal something like cancer or a missing body part.

Here’s the spoiler-free info for this episode: the cute girl Midoriya saves, Ochaco Uraraka, has unique pads on all of her fingertips that allows her to activate her quirk, Zero Gravity. When she touches any object with all five fingers of either hand, she negates its gravitational pull. Which is the main reason she needed to slap him... The school nurse, Recovery Girl, has a quirk that allows her to heal injuries by kissing them. However it only stimulates the healing by using the person’s stamina, leaving them exhausted in the process. If the injuries are too severe, it could kill the person by using too much of their stamina; plus if she’s too exhausted, her power could override her ability to prevent her own death... Finally, Midoriya did indeed gained 100% of One For All, however his body can’t handle that much power at once, hence the limbs breaking! How can he use it without destroying himself? Stay tuned... 😁

I've always looked at the 0 point robot as over-powered, since the short hand they had for it was "0P". Basically taking on an over-powered opponent would be pointless, because defeating them is nearly impossible.

There are definitely heroes elsewhere in the world, but the listed rankings are for Japan specifically - though I wouldn't be surprised if All Might was the #1 hero globally, if there even are global hero rankings. Similarly, UA is the #1 hero academy in Japan, but it's possible it's the #1 globally.

Someone has been paying attention. In this world all powers have something positive and something negative. For example, Deku can use 100 % of One For All BUT since his body can't handle the sheer amount of power he ends up with broken parts of his body. Of course in order to succeed All Might he NEEDS to learn how to harness that MASSIVE amount of power. And trust me, it is gonna be a SLOW burn.

While All Might is world famous and he might well be the strongest hero of the entire world, the official rankings are national. So All Might is the number 1 hero in Japan with Endeavor being number 2. These rankings are a combination of accomplishments and popularity, though the series doesn't go into any more detail than that.

Yeah.. Ok so not how it ended up going... But the core idea of the kaiju giant mech was dealing with facing an overwhelming threat you can't beat. Its about judging your own strength. "This thing is to dangerous & I can't take it on.. I need to avoid it or run from it" kind of deal

So the thing with Deku using One for All is that currently his body is just not strong enough to withstand the full force of All mights power. So currently he can use 100% of the power but it also shatters his limbs. But even then I don't think Deku's 100% is as Strong as All mights 100% yet but dont quote me on that. But Potentially in the future Deku's full strength should be greater than that of All might

It's my head cannon that Midoriya is already stronger then All Might, which is the problem. His body simply can't handle all that power. It would be better for him if he only got a fraction of his power to start with and slowly grow it. The heroes he listed are #1 All Might, #2 Endeavor, and #4 Best Jeanist. They are notable heroes who gradated UA as they are all in the top 10 in Japan. It seems All Might is also the #1 in the world. Still I assume each city has their own top hero of the area. As we saw in the first two episodes there are also multiple heroes in the same city. Kind of like how New York City has multiple heroes in Marvel comics.

Narutonarutonaruto85 It’s outright stated that One For All grows each time it’s passed on. So it’s not just a head-canon, it’s *fact* that Deku is (or at least will be) stronger than All Might.
