Love listening to the way they calmly talk to each other. Nothing is rushed, or is there any trying to jump on each others points to interrupt. Want to be more like that.

Wow - Rich pls don't be so harsh on yourself (around minute 12) because Yes - you are human but also you are an awesome human who is leading tens of thousands of people into a real ascension. Hearing you speak that way actually hurts. Thank you for your contribution to a better world and society!

To move from being an outer directed person to being an inner directed person is a tremendous change, and you will feel very shaky at first. You will not feel very strong. You will be very uncertain of what you are doing. You will be like the little tender shoot in the great forest that must be protected until it gains enough strength to stand upon its own. So there are dangers at this beginning, at this early part of your journey-premature conclusions, indiscretion with others, self-doubts, the attempt to try to define your life-all these things are dangers because they can prevent you from proceeding onward, and once this journey begins, you must proceed onward. This is so important! Imagine that you are climbing a great mountain, well, once you begin to gain a little altitude, well, you do not want to have to go back. You need to go forward. This powerful quote is from a book *The Journey to a New Life* by *Marshall Vian Summers*

Thank you for another provocative discussion. There's so much to learn in each conversation. Recently I was privy to the revelation of another person's struggle with mental health--bipolar and ADHD--which were intensified and finally diagnosed during the pandemic. She described executive dysfunction and how it affected her behavior in detail. What I found revelatory was that only after seeking psychiatric treatment during the pandemic did she learn the term or recognize how it had been part of her life since her highly traumatic immigrant childhood experiences. She commented on how much easier some aspects of her life might have been had she understood that condition before her mid-twenties. Even without long-standing mental health issues, I think that some of us struggle more now with various levels of executive dysfunction--mild to severe--due to the pandemic. I know I do. So far I can handle it because I recognize it and can do an override to take action most of the time. However, this likely has a huge impact other people's ability to take the necessary action that results in the change they desire. Especially if they don't know what it is. Might that be a subject worth exploring with an expert in that field at some future date?

That was so warm. I ve recorded two podcasts - yet to be edited and uploaded- and I loved doing them because of the time I got to spend digging a bit deeper with people I admired and didn’t know. I think this has given me courage to do the rest of the work I didn’t finish (for them) going with the experience and process and to share simply as a gift that someone (at least the people I spoke with) will enjoy.

Thank you so much for this wonderful episode I have enjoyed it enormously. I discovered your podcast because a friend, and I discovered Rich podcast when I began my personal journey of health and body transformation through a WFPB diet. I am hughley grateful to you both. You are a huge inspiration. Me, myself, having a KZbin Channel in Spanish, and wanting to launch a podcast in some point, you both, teach me so much. Also, I appreciate a lot your appreciation about the psichological impact of this whole situation we are living. It is accurate and brave. I'm a Psychologist, and we are seeing more Anxiety, Panick Attacks and Hypochondria than ever before. We are overloaded with work, because so much people are seaking for help. I'm sure OCD symptoms will increase in the following yearse. And some forensics have told me that suicide is in the rise also. I have talked about all this in my Channel in the past. Thanks again. (Sorry for my not so good English).

This is a very touching conversation ! Thank you. May I just say that I agree the pandemic is posing a massive risk to mental health, especially for young people. But let’s not forget the opportunities it has also opened up for some of us. For my part, I have found more time to exercise, to start a new hobby - no dig gardening to grow our own veg - to pay more attention to my values to protect the planet. The pandemic is a call, a loud and clear wake up call for us to change how we live. Granted the loss of human interaction is catastrophic, but hopefully it will be short lived enough that we can reap the benefits of the pandemic for the planet. Is it a coincidence that we now have a US president lining up with environmental priorities ? No I don’t think so, it happens now because everything is connected. Thank you for your podcast and for all that you do to shift healthcare towards functional and responsible care. I’m a big fan!

Started listening as usual in the car, and decided it was one I really wanted to watch. Big fan of both you and Rich and I needed to see you and hear you both - and it was a wonderful episode with loads of gems. Cut at the heart at the comment re being defined as an Indian Doctor and having to essentially 'apologise' for it and surpress it. We still have a long way to go as a society. It made me quite sad. I'm very grateful to both of you and thank you for the work you are both doing. It really is life changing.

35:40 Every person can benefit from attending AA-type meetings. We are all addicted (overly attached) to something--especially screens, these days. Think of the time and life we've wasted surfing YT alone. The people we haven't spent time with (spouse and children, especially), the life we haven't advanced. Seriously. Neither of these men spend hours everyday watching other people's vids. Addiction sux. And like Rich said after years on autopilot, we wake up at some point and wonder where the time went, why we are depressed, etc. The same mistakes drug addicts and alcoholics make, we make. Just different substances undertaken. We're not so different. We're all fallible people. And the first step in AA is humility, acknowledging to ourselves we have a problem, have made mistakes, and have hurt others through our words and actions (by commission or omission). The freedom in humility is life-giving. And we learn that even people who mess up their lives BIG TIME are people, and loveable and forgivable. We are loveable and forgivable.
