Holy shit the 1.6 CS scene in the UK was awful...I remember being called a cheat myself and members of my team being accused of cheating because we would often smash some of the "best" UK teams around. It got to a point where we would only scrim or play practice matches against foreign teams like mTw, SK etc because they had professional players who respected others when they were having good matches etc. I still remember being called a hacker by one of the biggest "personalities" in the UK scene; a guy who thought, as you said, if anyone was better than him or his team they must be cheating as those people believed they were the pinnacle of the UK scene and there was no one who could possibly be better than them! It didn't even cross their mind that we played with some of the top European players and learnt a LOT just from playing mix matches and pcws with and against them and applied all of that stuff to our competitive play...nope - to the UK scene we were a bunch of "onliners" who cheated or abused config commands...fucking Hell that scene was bad! XD

gg loved this episode, but i think you should give a look to the portuguese scene is what you said and more, much more. we have a só called e-sports máfia fully extablished. we have players taken down for supposed cheats from big events when it never happened all because the loser team makes a poorly edited vídeo and some influencial friends from the so called máfia. that dont want people from outside the group with visibility. some day we shoud talk about the portuguese scene and you will be suprised ( sorry for my english)

It was a great listen. The U.K. is making somewhat of a resurgence in esports; British players are getting on European CS:GO rosters (slow but steady), COD teams are contending with North America (with BO4 around the corner as well), The Gfinity Arena has potential and much more.
