Richard is my mate. I've known him for many years, even before the Verve. In fact i got him into singing. He has always been a good writer. We meet up every week and he has another song written, which we go through. He is one of the most talented song writers out there and I'm so proud of what he has achieved. But more proud that he's my mate. Ash (that's what his close friends and family call him) is also one of the most humble guys i know. Nice guy.. Loves a bit of banter.
