As a boy he was painfully thin, and his GP had recommended radiation therapy to alter his metabolism to help him gain weight. The treatment left his pituitary gland permanently damaged, so his weight ballooned. He struggled to diet, though in his late 50s managed to lose about 3st. at the time of his death he was 115 kg

I wish I had the opportunity to listen to him ramble. His anecdotes apparently were legendary. I find it so sweet that in realty, Richard helped shape a young budding Daniel Radcliffe into the world renowned actor he is today, a far cry from Vernon and Harry.

You mean the music that plays in the background while the actor goes up to pick up the prize? Obviously it is performed live by the orchestra, so it's impossible to get it. But it is the well-known musical theme "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" (from the musical "Pal Joey" by Rodgers and Hart) of which there are hundreds of versions. If you are looking for something with a similar orchestration, look for the versions of great singers like Barbra Streisand or Tony Bennett.
