I did buy the tvr, but I should have bought the air-cooled Porsche 911 it would have been worth a fortune now.... opps 😔 also it was about 2002 not 1999 when you joined top gear, I can remember when talking to you on that day you were being considered and hopping to get the top gear job, I have been watching you ever since

Ahh, telly nostalgia, I remember Richard doing Men & Motors, it was entertaining stuff, at a time when Top Gear was the only car show on national TV, and quite staid too. Richard was in fact a pioneer, as the shows were clearly just him, and a bloke with a camcorder, shooting everything in an couple of hours, often in the rain... In fact, it was mostly similar 'content' to what is on KZbin today, bloke talking to his phone, but years before KZbin even existed! Richard mate, everyone is still copying you!
