I sold a 2001 V6 estate last year and when i rang the guy that bought it to try and buy it back he told me it had been exported to hungary. I was gutted. Had 236k on the clock when i sold it aswell it would of gone forever

phantom 21-21 mpg around town. And 47 mpg on motorway. Realistic. However pull on that engine is great, plenty of torque.

BestDucky RBLX last i checked the A4 and Passat used the B platform. this is a B5 and was the last VW to use the old Syncro 4WD system.

A huge mess of a uneconomical engine total waste of money for this over priced car at the time of launch. I still have my 1.9 tdi sport passat estate from 1999 with 210k on the clock it's never failed me.

I have this engine in my a4 and hammered it and never let me down... I burst a cooling pipe and can't be arsed replacing it so it's ran six weeks without coolant... the engine is bomb proof pal I had the 1.9 tdi pd130 engine in a old golf and they are better to upgrade but as standard engines go v6 tdi pips it for me

+desert eagle I have a 2001 V6 TDI just like this one and its got 290,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with it except the thermostat and it still goes lovely using no oil whatsoever. Love it.

I have been really tough on my engine aswell run it ragged and still loves it never had a issue apart from coolant pipe burst about six months ago don't know how she's still ticking really I'd have another if it wasn't for wanting a s8 or a8 w12

Traveled all over Europe in mine.....effortlessly and fast! Pulled like a train. I had a eml issue while working in Copenhagen and a local approved vw garage replaced a sensor and on plugging into the ECU found it had been mapped! They copied the program as it was a vw test map and someone forgot to switch it back. Didnt charge me a penny! It had 20k on the clock when I bought it and 5 years later I sold it my brother in law with 130k and he had it 10 years and put another 100k on it with no major issues. Its replacement left me to loath vw and never had one after that.
