I enjoyed reading all of your comments. I felt the same way about this unique character. And the actor, who made said character come to life. Mr. Harrow is loved and missed. Thank you Mr. Jack Huston!

Jimmy died and returned to the Trenches. Richard died and went to the ones who he loved. The Duality of that was amazing and deserving for both of them

Yes! I always loved this parallel. It’s absolutely tragic, but I think it made sense for both of them. Jimmy “had everything”, in Richard’s words, but he was dead already. Richard wanted to live.

When he connects emotionally with the dog who is a scarred “old soldier that keeps fighting” That hit deep in the heart. I had a rough around the edges Pitbull that I connected with for a similar reason. I’m not a soldier, but I keep moving forward.

That scene was beautiful. I felt like the whole “meeting the hunters” was sort of a encounter with god or something. It was very surreal. Beautiful.

Richard is one of the saddest characters in the show because in the outside he sees himself as a monster because of his face but in the inside hes a good man that has difficult life and he knows that he wants to stop being someone assassin and try to have a normal life

Why didn't he wear an eye patch.
@thelivingbride4582

Because it isn’t just his eye that has been lost, but quite a good chunk of his face - cheekbone, part of his mouth and nose, etc. These masks are actually historically correct, as many of these deformed men who came back from WWI would wear them to blend in more seamlessly with society. They were made of tin and painted to match the other side of the wearer’s face. You can still see a few in the Imperial Museum of War in London.

Thank you for your service. I’m glad you like it! I’m a history major and research deformed, shell-shocked, disabled and generally outcasted WWI vets, so this one is very important to me.

@@maxhalsted5381 oh my, I’m so sorry for him. That’s a trend amongst combat vets, specially from the First and Second World Wars: many of them rarely ever talked about it at all.

@@thelivingbride4582 well thank you. The most he ever said was may be five sentences. My first cousin was combat vet who served in Korea and was awarded a Purple Heart tried talking about it to him. My uncle still wouldn't speak an about it

@@maxhalsted5381 it’s very common, unfortunately - I guess they just don’t want to re-live it. Also, many veterans (at least from WWI) felt incredibly apart from society (because people really did make 0 effort to understand them), so it felt like it was pointless to talk about it, as no one understood anyway.
