IT IS KIND OF INTERESTING HOW I CAME TO BE A BIG FAN OF RICHARD HAWLEY AND THIS SONG IN PARTICULAR. THROUGH SOME SINFUL CHOICES I ENDED UP BEING HOMELESS AND ONE NIGHT IN DEAD OF WINTER I WENT INSIDE A WAL-GREENS TO WARM-UP AND HEARD A REALLY GREAT SONG PLAYING IN THE OVERHEAD MUSIC. IT'S AMAZING THAT I WAS HOMELESS AND STILL I REMEMBER BEING IN A GREAT MOOD BECAUSE OF THIS SONG. PLUS AS ANY OF YOU MUSIC LOVERS CAN RELATE TO .....I NOW HAD A NEW MUSICIAN TO EXPLORE. HERE I AM FIVE YEARS LATER AND STILL EXPLORING THIS NEVER-ENDING SUPPLY OF GREAT MUSIC. GOD BLESS ALL THE LISTENERS THAT KNOW WHERE THIS KIND OF TALENT COMES FROM

Honestly, I don't feel to call others stupid simply because they don't share my music tastes. Richard Hawley's audience size may be a deliberate marketing choice of the artist: it doesn't change a thing about the quality of his music.

A friend turned me on to your music she had just missed your gig in Brighton summer 2007, however she got back in US and watched you live at TT the Bears in Cambridge in Dec 2007, with a male friend. She got some nice photos too She said you guys where fantastic and it was a chance of a lifetime to see you in a small venue... lucky woman she was to have caught you live, you've a big & great voice and band 👏🏼👏🏼 She thought you ought to be as well know as Sinatra, I agree , and we could use some of that right about now in this scam lol listen to me, do I know if I'm writing even speaking to the real Richard Hawley? No.. I prefer to listen vrs watching video, Thanks much for the song, & happy ❣️🌹🎸

@innercityunit21125 жыл бұрын
Siobahn Rose....I think, in all respect, maybe you missed the point of the video..it's all about being young at heart and of mind..when we age and become elderly, a lot of people still have young minds and youthful spirits, but this psyche can seem 'trapped' in an elderly body..recalling glory days, but becoming more insecure and doubtful as we age...however, with a will and determination elderly and old people can pick up the gauntlet again and recapture a youthful spirit and live active, purposeful lives...push forward! and never surrender!.... I think the young guy made-up to look elderly, but deliberately left still looking like a young guy made-up, is just symbolism for a young mind in an elderly body....nothing jokey about it really....in fact, I think the video is both touching and moving, quite sincere and inspirational really....just my humble take....and, not that anyone's bothered, I'm neither elderly or old..but I am getting there...where there's a will, and all that?!
