"For he was fitter for that place then earth" is one of my favorite lines. I recognize Phil Cumbus from his work at the Globe; he did a great job in the Dromgoole production of 'Love's Labour's Lost'

actress reciting her text like she was arguing about the price of potatoes at the market... Not an ounce of anger against someone who killed father and husband, then try to woo her... I'm disappointed...

+John Mahmud And yet by the end of the interaction she not only doesn't take her chance to kill him/see him dead she accepts his proposal. The writing didn't call for her to be too devastated, then.

oh come on, the transition from grieving, vengeful wife to being seduced by her murderer must be one of the hardest scenes to act convincingly in literary history. The only convincing way to pull it off (whether this was shakespeare's intention or not) is to cast some doubt on her initial grief.

Wow! Completely different interpretation from the other ones I've seen. The power of words, love, seduction ... human nature. So, what if Richard III was not deformed, but in fact handsome and appealing, like this actor? It's an intriguing "what if."
@StrongRex6 жыл бұрын
The whole play is pretty clear that he's deformed. If he's not, then the story and characters make no sense.

At 6.30, she's gone. Her acting is simply extraordinary, the interpretation audacious.

I don't know what you still think that shakespeare should be performed as an obligation!!! you have to be natural, you are acting" artificial acting" wow! I don't like it!

He is good. She is simply terrible. Ruined the whole scene.
