You asked what commercials they would run now that you have 1000 subs: Weber grills - featuring sausage kabobs . I spit my tea all over my laptop!

Edit: Oh my goodness!! Literally 10 seconds after I posted this 1:31:30 happened! I spoke too soon! =D I can't help but ponder that it would have been better for Warwick and his descendants if he'd just kept his mouth shut and buggered off. One outcome of his machinations was his Grandson living out a whole bunch of his life in the tower and ending up being murdered just so Arthur could marry Catherine. That's not much fun. It's all a big tangled yarn ball of hideousness. Was there anyone who lived their life close to the throne and had a very happy, fulfilled life? That's a sincere question. I'd love to know if there was.

I would *LOVE* to hear a discussion of Margaret Beaufort! I read a biography of her once that was pretty pro-Margaret, and all I could think was, "Yeah, she was freaking phenomenal...but holy cow she would have been the MIL from hell". Strong, powerful women are often not very nice eg Sarah Churchill. Or in modern times, Margaret Thatcher. Strong, powerful, a player on the world stage....but not someone that one would like to have a cosy little chinwag with. Margaret Beaufort feels like that kind of person to me.

It honestly made me feel so much better to hear y'all talk about needing a whiteboard for the family trees. I thought I just couldn't keep up 🎉😂

I think Dr. Kat might enjoy the song ‘Heavy Boobs’ from Crazy Ex Girlfriend…a US TV show that’s very much in the spirit of HAD.

After listening to your history I would personally say that Richard Neville was a VERY low git. I did learn quite a bit today!

Has anyone read Bulwer Lytton's historical novel "The last of the barons" which is about Warwick the Kingmaker? A top selling 19th century historical novelist Lytton is best known for his "Last days of Pompeii" and "Rienzi." Lytton is nowadays often ridiculed for starting off his novels with something like "It was a dark and story night" which has led to a kind of Bulwer Lytton parody genre. Lytton also uses a lot of faux mediaeval words and exclamations like "tush." also often parodied. Bulwer Lytton's novel "Rienzi" which is about a rebel, who against the odds, establishes a republic in medieval Rome, inspired the opera by Wagner which Adolf Hitler absolutely adored and he kept the musical score with him including in the bunker where he died. Ironically Hitler ended up in a very similar way to Rienzi - initially spectacularly successful but eventually failing just as spectacularly with both being killed in an orgy of fire and destruction!
