Richard Reti v Alexander Alekhine Baden Baden 1925

Hi people, once again, we go back , this time almost 100 years.To a match in a tournament between two great players.
I did take the game to a simple checkmate but changed my mind as all it did was take the shine off a brilliant chess game. Alexander Alekhine, in his book, said he was surprised he didn't get awarded a brilliance prize for this game and one other. A great chess player he was ,modest he wasn't. But he was gifted and we are just mere mortals. 😀

It's a chess computer called a square off Grand based on a plotter with two fixed rails and a moving arm with a magnet. The pieces are from my old Milton bradley grandmaster chess computer which did the same thing back in 1982 with an onboard computer only this new one is app based and I can play anyone in the world who has the app and or the range of square off computers in the range .I'm glad you're enjoying the old games I am reproducing 😊

How are the chess pieces moving by themselves? Is the board some sort of machine?
