Could you do also a documentary on the life of Baron Bertran de Born who has also played a major role in the time of King Richard the Lionheart? It would be gorgeous and awesome if you could do it, because Baron Bertran de Born is one of my own very early predecessors of my family (motherly side) and he lived in the Château de Hautefort in France! King Richard the Lionheart has tried numerous times to besiege the Château de Hautefort - which he has made one time successfully but returned it back to the Baron Bertran de Born because of a very heartwarming thing the Baron had done for King Richard the Lionheart because of the death of John the Young - King Richards brother! Please do your own research on this matter here and make a little documentary out of this! Have a wonderful and peaceful day and enjoy your time and lovely greetings from Sarah Sutter!

Masterworks is essentially a scam their business model is extremely suspect. There is in reality no way to own a share of a single piece of artwork. They don't disclose what art they have bought not how much they paid. They could essentially produce artwork themselves and pay themselves for it and it would be legal. Please find a better more legitimate sponsor who is worthy to tie it's name to the fine work produced on this channel.

As a Stewart, alot of really cool stuff I could tell you about that would blow your mind. Templars are who followed William Wallace and my ancestors Robert the Bruce against England after all Templars fled to Scotland where Robert offered them assylumm. They say we are Born KT. Descendants of James. This is why they came to Scotland. This is why they lost.

While I don’t believe that the conquest of Sicily was entirely „unjust“ and „without claim“, the imprisonment of Richard I was indeed a wacky move by the Kaiser. If only Barbarossa would have survived, he would have kept his Kin and fellow rulers in line. I also believe that Heinrich can’t be blamed for not joining the crusade, as when it started, his father was emperor and Heinrich had been ordered to stay in German lands and protect them from the Welfs.

⚔️I’m captivated with Ur historical info. It’s almost overwhelming to keep its continuity in mind: Not until U added the ‘What if, Richard 1 returned the England first, without being taken prisoner?’ did I begin to lose continuity: Unless I’ve missed something. It was too complicated for me to follow, the names, marriages that unite them, so I had to try too ignore it. Life’s history is filled with the, “What ifs?”ThX.🛡️

This was fascinating! Thank you for sharing in depth info about these people who are so often seen as just names. Learning about Richards character as a person and of the many power players during this time brings history to life. I think it’s important we see history as it was, the people involved and circumstances to understand. So often it gets blurred as black and white with 1 dimensional people. Then, like today countless things are occurring and the actions taken are always filled with the impact of all of it. People so often put today’s beliefs on those before us losing the reality that these people existed in a time and place as human as we are. Without understanding history as it’s said we are doomed to repeat it. Good or bad we can learn so much from these people. I’m excited to watch more about King Richard.

The man got wheeled out on his litter during a battle(which i shamefully cannot recall) so he could pepper folks with crossbow bolts when he was all but certainly dying(he didnt but he “knew” he was). King Richard was such a badass that it literally cant be overstated. Every time I think I have a good handle on the totality of his badassery, I come across an example that surpasses it/them. I think his breakout of Jaffa was probably his finest feat as a commander but there are so many possible rivals that can be said to compete for the title that it just baffles me. This is what Kings and leaders were supposed to be.

He forsake his noble Christian duty and turned his back on our true King and instead went to fight our age old enemy, the Sicilian Normans.
