Should I Purchase a 2016 Audi A6 with the S Line Package

S line package gives it a sport suspension, 19 inch wheels, sportier front and rear external look, and lower profile than the standard A6. So it's a bit more of a difference than just the S line badge on the front fenders.

@jack black Hp and torque is basically the same as the standard A6. That was my point. My standard A6 came with 20" Pirelli PZero tires. Much better that the 19" tires that come with S line A6. Hefty increase in price for basically nothing but a s line badge, sportier front, slightly lower profile isn't worth it to me. I'll pass.

+Richard Fain never said the engine was any better. Don't forget the sport tuned suspension with the S line as well. Fine if it's not for you but there are several differences the S line gives you. More aggressive look and better sport handling. It's worth it for those that care about that.

+Richard Fain and 20" tires are not standard on an A6 that is an additional cost option. Standard wheels are 18".

Standard 2016 A6 is 18 inch wheels, s line gives you 19 inch wheels, sport tuned suspension, more aggressive front and rear exterior, and lower profile. Oh yes and the s line badge. It basically gives you the exterior look of the S6 (but not the better engine). I agree with you the 2016 updated turbo 4 has plenty of acceleration. With the Quattro and 8 speed transmission the 2016 4 cylinder A6 will do 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. Not too shabby. About a second faster than the previous 4 cylinder engine.

I stand by my original comment. The A6 S line is the same car as the A6 with the exception of the badge and a higher price tag. I actually owned a A6 and test drove the A6 S Line.

I have had my share of 14, 15, 16 and 17, the 16 s line isn't just a badge whether you like it or not, lots of other components are different. When you do videos you have to be able to talk the speed of the camera...could have had it done in Half the time. I have a 16 now and am a dealer, has the s-line , 20" wheels and all the features that come with it, none came on the 14....so check your facts

Just buy a $600-$750 APR tune and you'll get about the same HP and torque from your '14 A6 as you would from the '16. I have a '13 (FWD 2.0T, premium plus, 20" wheels, 35mpg hwy) and I'm thinking about tuning it just for highway passing. The A6 is a luxo cruiser, and it's never that satisfying punching it around, unless you've got an S6, but even then, it's so heavy and thirsty. I have something light and tossable for that kind of driving :)

Your review was so good, I tried to purchase a 2016 A6 2.0 with the S package to replace the 2015 Genesis 3.8 that I just leased in Feb 2016. Lol. I have to wait 1 year, but I am getting this vehicle!

MrSaxmanJones The Genesis is not bad. They do not make the R-Spec anymore. There is no luxury dealership experience. My next vehicle will be an Audi A6 or a Tesla Model S.

John Green Cool. Have you considered the Genesis G80? Some say it's a good competitor against the A6.

MrSaxmanJones I have a 2015 Genesis 3.8. It is the same exact vehicle as a 2017 Genesis G80. The only difference for the 2017 is the badge on the rear bumper. Also, the 2015 Genesis is considered a hyundai brand and the 2017 is considered a genesis brand. Until, they build separate dealerships, I don't consider it a luxury vehicle.

The exterior of the car is beautiful but the interior is incredibly boring. It looks like a Passat with wood paneling. Disappointing really. I was planning on getting one but the inventory is so lack luster compared to a newer Lexus.
