I’ve been fishing since I was 8. I’m 44 now. This man helped me to actually appreciate the actual beauty of every fish I catch whether it’s big or small. For that, I thank you Richard Gene. I believe that’s what the lord set you here to do. You’re a good man. God bless you & your family.

I've been fishing heavily for 3 years now almost 4. I'm 26. The beauty for me is the nature and practice of being an angler. Something we as humans have been doing since the beginning of time lol also I've learned to love rooster tails. They catch anything and everything of all sizes! So it's always a surprise for me.

@@TheSilverstonedwolfsame here! Been having a blast lately fishing for panfish, I put a little foam bobber and a fly wet or dry about 6 inches below it and caught about 22 bluegill and a bass casting 2 ft from the bank if not closer so fun when you get a good spot for it

I really enjoy your videos. You're more like the "normal" fisherman instead of those big time tournament pros (I find them boring). My comment concerns my fears of those rocks along the rip-rip (I have to fish them from a boat). I'd love to walk those rocks like you do, but I am elderly (82) and one slip up on those rocks and it could be all over for me, with broken ribs, hip, leg, you name it. I admire your agility at being able to traverse those rocks. AND I just love your videos....GREAT STUFF! I watch them over and over. Keep it up, my man..!!!

Always wondered about the 2 lb line choice. I usually fish farm ponds where a bluegill trip can easily become a 5 lb largemouth on the end of the line trip. I usually load up with an 8 - 10 lb braid and a 6 - 8 lb fluro leader on my light lines. My bass/catish stuff is much heavier.

Hey richard, Great video as usual i enjoy your fishing adventures. I used to have issues with split shot sinkers sliding. But one day i realized a simple way to keep them from ever sliding again and barely crimping them so i can reuse them. I just simply loop around the split shot slot twice with the line and gently squeeze the shot closed. They never slide again because they are trapped in the loop and are way easier to open and reuse the shots.
