In this video I replace the screen on the Samsung Note 9 cell phone. This screen had a black dot in the middle with horizontal black lines running side to side. This means the display screen is damaged and does not qualify for a glass only repair. Both the display and glass had to be changed out. Enjoy!

something I've learned over the years being a mechanic is count how many screws (in my case bolts) you take out that way you count how many going back in.

The way you ripped out the digitizer/screen, is it required to remove the motherboard and camera etc? Looks like you can just unplug the screen ribbons and rip out the screen?

Stop asking him he not going to tell you trust me he didn't pay $ 165 for the screen most likely he get parts at repair shops discounted prices then mark up the price to the customers i used to work at a repair shop they do this all the dam time they have part discounts stores that sale parts to repair shops only it's wrong with making money but problem is when these repair shops are marking up the prices from two up three times the price they pay for the parts

If you have another good working screen, yes.

Take it to your local shop. Just have them do it. I do this all the time in my shop for people that only want to transfer data to their new phone. I charge $60 for that here instead of repairing the phone.

@@RichardMeza I've already taken it apart. I'm right at the part where you take the screws out. Kinda wanted to do it myself. If connecting the screen is all I need to do then cool. Thanks for the reply.

@@rarerock5020 If you already bought another Samsung phone. Just use Smartswitch. It's super easy with that for Samsung to Samsung data transfer

Please maybe you can help me I was going to repair my phone's cracked screen yes I'm a beginner but I've did it with tablets for my daughter and I did it for an old phone myself will this one was much more confusing considering I had to go from the back to the front doing so I got impatient big No-No when you're fixing a phone I know that and I ripped the glass off like you did in your video I split it from the display I guess you say it's this display the gold film behind the glass now I don't have no black film on my phone I did buy a glass front cover or something like that what I'm trying to say is I only can see the gold film on my phone it's all connected the hookups behind it or okay it is ripped a little ride just when I get the data off my phone all the stuff stored in there that's not on the SD card I just want to get it onto my computer somehow and plugging it in so nothing so what can I do can I buy just the display I just need the black part of my phone on in there all of that probably didn't make sense I'm using talk-to-text my main question is what is attached to the front glass piece behind it the black screen what is that screen because that's what I'm missing

You need to replace the whole screen. Oled display and glass. The reason why you can't get your data transferred is because your phone is password protected. Just replace the full display screen and you're good to go.

back panel is dirt cheap, with that profit you should've replace back panel too event the customer don't want to pay. you have no empathy at all
