Am absolutely delighted to get a mention at 1.54.30. I'm glad the Salmson chat on my KZbin Shed Racing channel has an audience. Not only that but the car you feature, is the exact car that my Dad, Victor Dutton bought in 1952 and the first Salmson I ever worked on....Ivan

Also thanks for the mention of the Dutton Bugatti stand at 47 minutes. An eclectic mix for us this year. My son, Tim, took Suzie's Lusso Prototype and my Fantic 125cc chopper just to spice things up a bit. I stayed home and thanks to your video I could enjoy the 'car catwalk' from my sofa.

Went to Retromobile 4 years ago loved it. Thought would be by myself but wife who went to Paris in high school and said hated it surprised me and wanted to come with me. She loved Paris and now we go every year, sadly not again to Retro. I remember how nice everyone was and wanted to talk cars for ever!

Great coverage Richard, love your enthusiasm! I’m from Vancouver living now in France and I was at the show as well, but I missed 1/4 of the cars cause my daughter was tired and bored, haha so it was great I got to see the rest of them through your channel. It’s funny, so many old car that you never see on the streets of France. The average French aren’t into cars. Too bad for me being an avid car person like yourself. Keep the up the great work!

Good evening Richard . Terrific coverage ! As you say, far too much to take in . I could have spent all day there. (Which you probably did !) At 1hr 49mins you mentioned the Leyland Thomas . This was self built by J.G.Parry -Thomas . He broke the Land speed record in this car in 1926 . 171. 02 mph . Sadly , he was killed attempting to retake the record from Colin Campbell at Pendine Sands on the South coast of Wales . The chain drive failed decapitating the poor soul . The mechanics decided to bury the car "babs" at the scene . It was controversially unearthed and restored in the late 1990 's (?) This is that car . How do you pick the best .....impossible ! But that 1959 Skoda 2 seater was very impressive ... and like yourself that twin engined 2 CV would have to in my dream collection . Thanks Richard . And say hi to Maikel .

That Lancia at 01:04:19 is a 1947 Lancia Aprilia bodied by Monviso. You called specific attention to the rear roof and glass...but didn't seem to find it familiar in any way. Look up the Studebaker Starlight Coupe from about 1948-1952...and you might be surprised! BTW, "coda tronca" at 01:09:00 does not mean "long tail." Quite the opposite, in fact. It means "cut-off tail" or "truncated tail"...what we also call a Kamm tail.

At 1:39 etc you're looking at one of the rarest 2 CV's ever produced; only about 700 (slightly less) were ever made, from which oly a few dozens still exist. The former Fench colonies were hardly to reach with a conventional car. So Citroën put one engine in the front, and one (reversed) in the back. And it became a 4 wheel-drive 2 CV! You'd be lucky if you could buy one for USD 80 - 100.000 nowadays. Fun-fact; in the Netherlands, the Citroën 2 CV is called "Lelijke Eend", which in English means "Ugly Duck"😃. Thx for posting btw👍!

Lovely to see some Pegasos on show. When one of Spain's major truck manufacturers decided to venture into building supercars they really pushed the boat out. That gorgeous dohc V8 was developed into a twin supercharged monster that could have destroyed the opposition in racing if it wasn't for the factory owner's chronic lack of financial management that sadly saw the end of the Spanish equivalent to Ferrari Pegasos could have rivalled then and perhaps even have built cars to win at Le Man's.

Monsieur. Ricard Michael.... Marvellous Paris Expo P.Versallies that you have filmed. Just love the car turne out, and especially the Ferrari stand...? I saw the Ferrari 414p that competied against the ''Caroll Shellby'' Ford GT40's,? And the Ferarri 412p chassis is the only original remaing survivor left...? And It's the loosing Ferrari car two, the wone that nobody took eny notice of...? And now it is a thoroughbred Maranello Race classic, and the only original remeing car left, that has been forgotton by the wider audience, if you '''could manage to add''' a Ferrari 412p to your ''escuderia car collection'' it will turne your collection into a💰 ''Billion''💰 Dollar Collection.... It's a Mona Lisa in the car culture world... And the competitor to the origens of Caroll Shelby's Ford GT40's... I love the Ford GT40 MK1❤ and especially the Ford GT ''(MK2)'' ❤But wonce you have seen the Ferrari 412p chassi you get to understand ''where'' the ''Gorilla Powerd'' Ford GT40 expression came from...?😂😂😂 (I Just Love It 🤣 I jut love the West 😂) A -4.0L V12- versus -7.5L V8- And when you get see the ''Forgoton Ferrari'' 412p of the 60's you really apriciate the Racing designe peddigree they have 💯 Is the Ferrari 412p or '''P''' race cars classed as a Le mans Ferrari racing ''Dino''...? P.S. Llove the 1970's American Porsche 917 road legal version to Die for❤🧺🧹⚰🪦...?🎼🏁 going to whoch the rest of your Versallies Video 🖌
