Leif, and Richard ===> Fantastic. This presentation is gold. Immerse, rewind, screen shots, take notes, this is basically a nearly all day seminar, crammed into a one hour video that yields additional insights on 2nd and 3rd viewing. I've watched 4 of Leif's KZbin presentations, and he's money... and Richard is doing super as an interviewer. Leif's methodologies really speak to my evolving trading style and sense of high reward/risk trading.

Great guest and content as always, thank you Richard! When Leif was taking about $OMEX, he mentioned this is more of a CANSLIM type of play rather than pivot. I can't tell the difference as a noob, since the "breakout" is from previous downtrending days, looks like a pocket pivot pattern to me

Great stuff, I could have watched hours more of Leif talking about trading. One question, does Leif buy during the breakout as it's occuring or wait until end of day to see the volume and how the candle ended. I often get faked with a candle ending with big upper wick and dodgy volume when buying breakouts, I'm trying to know how to better guage the actual buying on the breakout.

@gilltim57114 жыл бұрын
These stocks are all on a screen. What I'd like to know is what are the fundamental criteria used for that screen, that pulls up stocks that have the potential to double in such a short period of time? Yes, I see the technical timing device, but what are the fundamental criteria that put these stocks on his results list in the first place?

The vast majority of traders under-perform the S&P 500. Starting out knowing this and realizing that many traders blow up their accounts, will be a huge advantage long-term in regards to developing a healthy fear of the stock market. I recommend new traders should start out by just trading QQQ and/or SPY ETFs using 21 and 50-day EMA lines. Keep in mind that long-term Vanguard index investors blow most traders away in terms of combined dividend and capital gain returns. Traders like Dan Zanger, Mark Minervini, and Leif Soreide are super rock stars of the trading world. In reality, very few traders will reach this level.
