Richards Bros. Optare Tempo X1200 YJ55BKE (ex-TrawsCambria X50) on TrawsCymru 'T5 North' on 7/7/22

A nice surprise, and still going strong! Videoed on the Aberystwyth-Aberaeron section but I stayed on it to Cardigan.

thanks! it seems to be in great health for a 16 year old bus that will be on very high mileage from doing longer distance work all its life! I'll make it public in a bit mate :)

The T routes can seemingly churn out all kinds of interesting things depending on who operates it, it’s quire interesting!

Indeed! The T5 fleet in particular has always been a bit of a mishmash, with the 'T5 North' fleet being four 15 plate Optare MetroCitys, two VDL SB200s (one of them being Wright Pulsar 2 YJ62JZR and the other the one-off SB200/MCV Evolution Mk2, YJ14CCV) and now also ADL Enviro200 "MMC" SK21FHZ. Whereas the 'T5 South' fleet is two other VDL SB200s (one being Wright Pulsar "1" YJ09CWR and the other Wright Pulsar 2 YJ60GDV), and a few former TrawsCambria Optare Tempos such as this one, except it was doing a T5 'North' in this case (so nowadays it's not normally seen between Cardigan and Aberystwyth, rather than between Cardigan and Pembrokeshire). I believe these have been the last few ex-TrawsCambria Tempos still on the TrawsCymru network ever since the ex-TrawsCambria 704 ones were withdrawn from the T4 in around 2015 I think. By the way, we good now, or do you just not know who I am because of the different name I use on here?

@@kieranstravels ah right yeah 😝 Oh OK then 👍🏻 I can see how the things I said last year were cause for concern (although I've learned from the incident) so I appreciate you commenting anyway. Maybe I'll check out some of your videos soon :)

@@RWL2012 BKF is the same but the gearbox is quieter, it used to be very weak and slow now they’ve fixed it up and it’s faster

@@popcornloot9719 ah yeah this one seemed quick as well, I only really remember the Tempos Arriva ran on the X40 that they did dodgy stuff to like turning the fuel down or something, and they didn't even realise the Cardiff extended ones ran on the motorway for some reason. the other day I had Lloyds' 10 reg Tempo (ex Yellow Buses) on the X28 and it was nice. Tempos are good buses and it's a shame not too many were made
