Richard Sherman recaps the NFC Championship matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions as well as the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens AFC Championship. Richard breaks down Brock Purdy's heroics leading the 49ers on an epic second half comeback to make the Super Bowl. How much blame does Lions HC Dan Campbell get for his over-aggressive play calling? The Chiefs clinched their fourth Super Bowl in the last five years as they took out Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens 17-10. Is Patrick Mahomes officially in the GOAT conversation with Tom Brady? And who does Richard like in the rematch of his last Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers?
Timeline:
00:00 - Start
00:28 - 49ers beat Lions
07:58 - Brock Purdy came up big
12:47 - Chiefs beat Ravens
19:47 - Mahomes' biggest accomplishment?
26:45 - Super Bowl LVIII prediction

Sherm you were a problem for us...then you played with us! My dislike for you was football related!!! You are what they call a real one!!! And your smart so you don't have to get lumped in with some of our counterparts! Love how you put skip and key in their place. They tried hard but couldn't move that goal post 💪🏽

Sherm’s beef was with Jim Harbaugh, _then-_ coach for our Niners. With Harbaugh out and Shanny in (with a little biff with Pete), no need to worry.

I've said it a few times here and on X, but who would have thought 10 years ago that Richard Sherman would be one of the most vocal 49ers fan and apologist? It seems these days that 49ers fans embrace and love him more than Hawks fans. He went from being my most hated player in the NFL to one of my favorite voices. Amazing how fandom clouds our judgement. lol

As a niners fan I was angry last night during haltime but the momentum finally shifted for the niners when it was 24-17 then it was tied then niners won by 3 points. I'm really happy that the niners finally came back from a 17 point deficit and it was one of the best comebacks in niners history. Brock made some huge clutch plays by running it himself when he had to. I admit the Lions put up a fight indeed and props to them and Dan Campbell and Lions had a great season for sure. It was a great Afc and Nfc championship weekend and I'm happy about the results. Great analysis from you both and I admit it was a great and wild nfl season for sure. The Richard Sherman podcast is one of the best sports shows on here and Mitchell is a good co host.

Lions played bully ball like a boss the first half. Then our Niners adjusted and came back with a vengeance. Going to man defense helped a lot. Also, the helmet catch to BA would have ended up down there if not picked anyway, because a PI flag was thrown. Kudos to the Lions though. You guys played a killer game!

Love the chiefs hat! I do agree with the Purdy take, I think a healthy dose of skepticism was warranted earlier on because of his lack of size and arm talent, BUT for everything he is missing in those areas he is absolutely makes up in processing, decisions making, and being absolutely a dawg. If we didn't have Pat on our squad, I would take Purdy over 25 other starting QBs in the league today. He is absolutely a top 10 in my mind.

This is another example of why this the best football podcast out here. Even when their teams lose, and heartbreaking losses at that, they still come in and handle themselves like professionals. No Hot Take B.S. and insane ranting like some people do especiallybafter a loss. (Looking at you skip👀) To Mitchell i will say the Lions are a sttong grotty tough ass team and will be contenders again unless there is some sort of meltdown internally. Young team. Determined. Looking like the Niners as of late to be honest. Be proud to have maken the NFFCCG. You at least accomplished that much. Its just our year. #QuestForSix ##BrickByBrick

Mitchell, I have more respect for you today. You guys fought hard. Lions, Don’t listen to the stupid media. When your coaches are playing aggressive and win, they would say great. And when they play aggressive and lose, they say they made the wrong call. You win some and you lose some. No one should be mad. Lions should be so proud. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Richard Sherman...I use hate you when you were with Seattle and trashed talked my Niners, but I know it's part of the game and then you became a Niner..so all is forgiven. Today, I love your very astute and well spoken analysis and love how you lay out facts, provide spot on comparisons and call out the hypocracy and irrational thinking. Keep standing up for our Brockstar and continue to use your vast vocabulary that these clowns won't even understand. You are brillant! Love all your funny faces when dealing with Bayless.

I remember as a little kid an unknown in the NFL in a game that meant nothing and everything all at the same time. Niners down by 28 points at halftime, 1980, Montana was the guy and it was a year before they did anything great, until that day. On that day everyone began to believe and Joe started his legend. Purdy just did that yesterday but that game meant everything. Awesome to see.
